He's a old friend of mine from high school, and his family tree has some wild, wild west history.

No, its' not Eropkin or Bobby Jones, But he was part of the Great Whittier Honda Racing team back in the mid/late 70's.

Actually, now that I think about it, Denton was already riding for DG that year, I think.

Bill Glore was a good guess, but Bill was a little bigger and faster. Not to mention had longer hair.

Craze - If some sonofamutha hadn't stole my gear when coming back here I would have had more than a few pics of him in the So Cal Motocross papers I had.
If I am not mistaken that pic was at the HSMX at the LA Colesium in '75.

Yep, Worm nailed it. That's Terry "Crazy" Clanton, that's what he was called back then, and for Russ, yes that is the 1975 HMSX at the L.A. Coliseum. He is Related to the Clanton gang which had a famous gun battle with Wyatt Earp in Tombstone, Arizona. He used to do some Quick draw events, race speedway, and was a announcer for speedway events.

but i am not sure they talk so much anymore, i think terry got religious unless it was just religious for the woman he was seeing at the time lol

I have a picture of myself sitting next to him at the High School MX at the Coliseum. We were waiting to go out for practice.

boy..you guys are bringing back some memories...
Bill Glore was the "pretty boy" of the Whitter Honda team...
There is a good story of how "Dan" from the "D" of D&G tried to get Bill to come on over to his "team"..
I am pretty sure that Terry never made it past the int. class... i could be wrong..but..he was a really nice kid..

Dave, Bill Glore may have been the pretty boy but I know you were the one banging all of the chicks at the races.

That was only because Gary Denton and I had a stupid bet to see who could bang the most girls in one year...If i remember correctly..he had 124...and beat me by 2 girls..
Thinking back...that was really a dumb thing to do...and i am sure he would say the same thing...

Got to remember guys how young we all were back then, and we didn't think with the "right" head...LOL. Terry did make it to the pro class, but he was no match for Eropkin, Denton, Glover and those guys
