As you can see from the # of posts, I'm kinda new to this board. I just have to say that this stuff is blowin' me away!! A mono-shock 1969 CZ!! Where the hell did you find that??? Hope you guys don't mind if a frozen Canadian hangs out around here. I'm still snowmobiling for the next month, and it's really snowing outside my house right now. Can't wait for the MX season to start!!

That bike is the DNA of long travel suspension. It came from Belgium.

Thanks for the welcome!! I just put a pic I found on T-Bond's website of Bob Hannah's '79 OW-40 on my desktop. I'll run some old pics through my scanner tomorrow. I used to race a '79 Honda CR125 Elsinore with the 23" front wheel back in the day. I'm trying to post a pic of me doin' a 1-hander, let's see if I know what I'm doing. Guess not, I'll try again later

Ok now I've got it figured out. Thanks KTM93. Here's the pic I was trying to post. I put it in the "In Honour of" post as well.

It was in Mr. Tilkens workshop until I aquired it. It is in original condition. The motor is still in Belgium. I am in the process of getting that.

Thanks for bein' nice to a new guy. These boards can be brutal sometimes. I'll try hard to avoid being an idiot. I just watched a guy on a snowmobile forum get chewed up & spit out by the regulars in about 3 days. He was a bit of an ass though, so he's probably used to it anyways!!

Big Lenny - Who/What is Camstyn? Doesn't ring a bell. I'm in Southwestern Canada, about 3 1/2 hrs. drive straight north from Spokane Wash.
Or was that a trick question, like " Do you know Ed from Arizona?"

I think the OSM forums are going to be pretty free of most of the crap on the reg board. Most of us old farts have too much A.D.D. to put together much of a

[quote="Mini Elsinore":84196]T-Bond,
Playing in your garage would be very cool. While I am a Hannah fan (my daughter is named Hannah in his honor---which she hated until she saw him on The Motocross Files, now she tells everyone!), the Karsmakers bike causes me to stare in awe. Here's what your webiste made me recall: I used to hang out in Keith McCarty's garage at Island Village (Seal Beach) when he would be wrenching on Bob's 125 with the crazy cannisters on the forks---imagine a facotry wrench taking a works bike home today! Bevo would stop by with regularity. It was heaven for a 13 year old to listen and learn from those guys. Bet your website generates alot of old stories, huh? God bless you for preserving history and sharing with us.[/quote:84196]

That had to be 1977, right? Because in 1976 Bill Buchka was his wrench.

Bevo was John Savistki's wrench.
