I hear you on the settings. I got the sag close on Sunday and it helped things move, but my setup wasn't working for the rough braking bumps in the afternoon. I also noticed the turning went out a bit after sag set. So I am going back to the base and starting over now that I have the sag and 3.2 hours on suspension. I should have known better testing without setting sag.

I will try the other direction on shock rebound in next test. I had some other feedback that stated similar. Thanks.

I have my forks raised up until they almost touch the bars, 12-13 mm"s as per MXA, the air forks are longer than the 4cs. No head shake issues at all on a rough sand track. I think the big factor is the air pressure, new MXA now stating they are down in the 145-150 psi range for average riders. The article was on the 250 se, but assuming applies to the 450 as well. I was experimenting with lowering a few pounds from the standard 156, but will now start around 145 & see if I"m bottoming, I learned with my Honda air forks, the air pressure sweet spots needs to be found, then leave it & fine tune with clickers.

Niceee, why you change exhaust. I heard the fmf has a better low end mid snap, and akro strong mid ,revs to the moon. Opinion?

What are the PNs for the KTM PowerParts Levers? I ordered some but they came in "brembo orange" they don't quite match.

i was bumped that i could not get a Ty header pipe to match the Akro. love the sound that the FMF makes. as far as power. it did wake the bottom up and pulls strong thru the mid. coming off of a Honda it still seems to rev tot the moon. this thing is awesome.

Just finished getting my new FE450 ready for the first race of the season on Sunday at Central Village CT. I'm very happy with how everything came out. While not that much different from my last yrs FE450 it's still definitely a great bike and arguably the best MX bike that I've ever ridden.

With all the raising forks in triple clamp talk why do I not see any like that? Mine are 7mm up not 12 like some guys are talking about. Just thought I would see more of it?

Thinking about a factory edition 250 for my son and have noticed there's not a shortage of these bikes in California. With the 17s coming in a few short months I wonder if these dealers will be more willing to work on the price? Anyone in california have a dealer that isn't looking for $10k plus for one of these? I've got an out of state dealer willing to ship one for a decent price but would rather buy in state. Thanks , Chris.

I raced our season opener yesterday at my favorite track Central Village CT (I'm a member there) We had 6" snow last Monday and then 2-3" of heavy rain on Thursday into Friday so we had our work cut out getting the track ready for yesterdays race. Some (or most) thought we should cancel the race. The track crew pumped the flooded sections and tilled and groomed and dumped a shitload of wood chips out there. The track turned out awesome and it was a huge turnout. The track got super rough and had in some sections 2-3' breaking bumps entering turns. G-outs everywhere and deep ruts in the still soft sections. My bike worked awesome and I led 95% of the first moto just to give up the lead in a roller section with just 1 turn after it and then the finish. They were 8 good sized rollers that were all rutted and was giving everyone trouble. I holeshoted the 2nd moto and won by about 10 seconds which was awesome. My forks and shock saved my ass a number of times on over jumps when I was trying to over jump an obstacle and catch a the downside of a huge bump instead of landing on the jumps downside with a huge G-out running all the way across the landing. I feel that because of the super soft conditions the dirt was awesome yesterday but the track was probably rougher than I've ever seen it and my suspension sucked up everything especially my mistakes which the main reason I bought the stuff because I make more mistakes now than ever and the stuff saved my ass a number of times yesterday which makes it worth every penny to me.
