He's a savvy racer. He knew with the slick conditions that everyone was going to go in too hot. So he snuck in the inside and kept his composure. His whoop speed was insane tonight.

he has really struggled in the whoops for a long time. tonight he destroyed them and they were some of the worst all season. he went past Marvin in them like marv was standing still. great to see ryan finally getting his bike set up figured out in the whoops!

Thing is if he didn't get the jump he would have been cut off entirely.

People say he's a modern day Stanton, but I say he's the perfect mix between Bailey and Bayle. Stanton bulldogged the bike, Dungey has a smooth style, plus a bit of aggression now. Total badass on that bike.

Dungey seemed to have uber grip tonight, last week he seemed to be sliding around more than usual and definitely more than Kenny was...

If they released the LitPro data, I wouldn't mind betting that Dungey rides a shorter track than everyone else.

Well he's now tied with Ricky Johnson for 6th all time with 28 wins. He's got to dominate another two years to get into the RC/Reed/Villo range.

Dungey is a legend. I'm not criticizing him. I'm saying he still has a couple more years of winning 6-8 races to get up to the Reed/Villo/ RC range. He's ahead of all the heros of the 70s, 80s, and 90s (sans MC). And I know there are more races now then back then. it's still an impressive feat for the last 2 years.
