A few seconds after the drama with Musquin/Dungey and the "lapper", there was more drama that lasted almost the entire lap. Here is the play by play...

-Anderson did what he does and caught Seely right after the white flag came out. How many times have we seen that?
-Seely takes Anderson to the outside of the sand turn and brake checks him.
-With Anderson right behind Seely after the brake check, Seely sends a 450 roost of sand up Anderson's face!
-Now Seely has about 3-4 bike lengths on Anderson heading into the rhythm section after Anderson eats about a couple of shovel's full of sand.
-Into the wall Seely still held a health lead on Anderson.
-Anderson appears to upshift in the whoops in a full out blitz in an attempt to get Seely back.
-Seely sets up for a high entrance, low exit while Anderson never slows down for the turn.
-Anderson cuts to the very inside and meets Seely at the exit and nails his front end sending Cole to the ground while Jason bounces off the Honda and cruises to the finish line well ahead of Seely again.
-Seely then picks up his bike, sees Anderson crossing the finish line and sends him a one finger salute.
-Seely gets is bike started, crosses the finish line and then maneuvers quickly through the crowd on his way to find El Hombre.

Atlanta seems to never disappoint and this year was action packed for sure. Its very rare in Supercross or Motocross to see that much drama during the last lap. Too bad TV missed it.

This was a second issue later in the race. That happened earlier.

Does anyone else think it's ridiculous that this situation which has been festering for weeks now is starting to get ugly and the AMA decided that they'll let the riders work it out when they had no problem taking a stand against canard in a situation far less cynical because Roger and Dungey got mad?

I meant a Seely, too. lol

If you ask me (and nobody did but that's what vital is for) Seely can't complain. If you brake check and roost a guy on the last lap, you better get away fast and not leave the door wide open on the same corner he already passed you in before. That's just not good race craft. It's the last lap, I don't blame Jason one bit.

This is the big boy class Cole. The most effective retaliation for someone messing with you is to beat him.

^^ kind of agree with you on Trey lately Hibbly ....

re Cole and Jason: The director needs to have the spotter watch for this and be more aware that when these two get close to each other go to split screen ...

You know, I was going to argue with you, then I read my response and it said almost the same thing that you're saying. I know Seely is fed up with JA, and I get that. Anderson seems to think that Cole is his bitch, and lets face it, right now he is. I didn't see it, because I was focused on the MM/RD/JS7 deal, but if Seely left that inside open in that same corner, then yea, he deserved what he got. He's been racing this guy long enough to know exactly what to expect from him.

This, we need to see that action.

Seemed to me Anderson made a bunch of bone head pass attempts that night. Is attempt on Brayton was just plain stupid.....not even close enough to make the pass and just going straight in a turn so everyone has to come to a stop or get killed. Not a fan of that shit!

On lap one Chad REED passed Anderson straight-up using that inside line. Over the next couple laps Ando tried to replicate said-pass without success. Carnage ensued...

That was a brutal hit, I was sitting at the end of that section and Anderson hammered straight into Cole.
I'm a fan of aggressive racing but that was a little bit much.

Wonder if we will see it on Seelys weekly gopro footage?
2/29/2016 9:43am
Honestly Seely has been patient enough. There comes a time when you have to stand up for yourself and straight up take someone out. We're past that time.
2/29/2016 9:52am
Also, someone must have taken footage of this on their phone!?!? 50,000 people with cameras in their pockets and no footage? You know there is going to be fireworks when Anderson is by Seely.

Yeah, they both hit the deck before the middle of the main, too. I was surprised to see the non-electric bike started first, and then it looked like Cole wanted to give him some more roost.

Finally! We have a new JS7/CR22 like rivalry. I'm shaking in my little space boots

Jason The Divebomber Anderson is keeping it interesting.

Good idea for the director to go to a split screen when he and Seely get near each other.

Seely said Anderson tried to apologize to him afterwards, but he wasn't having it.

He also said he owes Anderson two and Dungey one.

Anderson just wants to make supercross great again.
2/29/2016 10:28am
Have you all heard the Seely interview on Pulpmx post race interviews? Seely is getting extremely fed up with Anderson and the slug fest between them is probably not at the peak yet! Although Seely did say "retaliation", so watch for Gallagher to get involved if this continues.

Anderson is not making friends in the paddock with his riding style, but if he can get away with it (which he has been) then might as well continue

This! He went at it with Baggett last year in Indy. And before that his was showing Cole and Malcolm whats up in the 250 class. I love it and think we need more of it

Other riders need to just take turns cleaning out Anderson for awhile.
