If a bike falls off the stand in your garage with no one around does it make a sound?

Well, if he can get a good start and stay ahead of him he is going to beat him. Otherwise they will have to battle it out with each other. In that case it's going to come down to whether or not he has a clean race. If he doesn't crash than obviously that's going to make it easier to stay in front of him.

There is, of course, the bike set-up to consider. If he feels good on the bike and it is working well with the track, that's going to go a long way towards putting him up front.

I just hope that he doesn't go for it too hard in the beginning and then have nothing left if they have to battle it out in the final laps. If he gets behind late than he's going to have to work to get the win. But hey, were talking about one of the best MXers ever, so we know he has the skills. But he's getting older now, so...maybe.

The one who crosses the finish line before the other one.

James is either gonna beat him, or he won't.

That's pretty bad if you can't figure out how to work a bike stand.

Not sure, but I know I make a sound when I find it.

Perhaps this was the catalyst for going to a chase format, to give James and Reed a chance at another title.

I'd be happy if james actually would finish his first race in over 1year+
couldn't be bothered about his finishing position for now.

Depends on which Chad Reed is racing. In my opinion, Chad at his 2016 best, beats James at ATL. Chad, in current form, gets beat by James and 10 or more others.

I would like to see them duke it out, cleanly, for a whole race. If they come 17th and 18th, it would be the highlight of the night. You won't see it too much of it on TV though, unless there's nothing going on upfront . . . .

I think Reedy beats him

James is going to be up there. He's back normal now, got his family there, and I think we are going to see a top 5 contender.

He was doing pretty well until Dungey took him out.

I would be more concerned about if he will finish than beating Chad.

I used to do that with my bicycle as a kid until the ol man hid my bike for a couple weeks and told me it must have got stolen because I didn't put it away.

With as much time as he has had off...hes good to go. He was probably ready last week but wanted to get some press for coming back at ATL with his brother.
