Since I haven't knocked you, and can appreciate a good build, I have an offer for you.

If you "sponsor" me till August, I will sell the bike and swap all parts back to stock (or whatever buyer may want) and sell all stock and aftermarket parts separately in order to help maximize your possible return. I would not ask for a single dime, however, I would ask to ride the bike on a possible road to Loretta's. If that interests you, let me know!

You are 1/2 right. The FE comes with NEKEN clamps. Not the air clamps, but it does Come with NEKENS.

Actually.... The '15.5 that he is selling, did not even come with the Akropovic muffler. The '14.5 did, but it as an anchor. Not sure of the quality of the Akro pipe that is now coning on the 16.5 FE ??

This is what I've always wondered. God bless him, I'm glad someone has disposable income, but what in the actual hell is going on here? To spend this kind of cash on a bike(and have a dealer do all the mods) and not ride it is just the strangest thing I've ever seen.

I have done it...bought a bike and modded it only to sell it before riding it. I intended to ride it but I sold it to a friend before riding it. It was more about the journey and not the destination, so to speak. Now, this KTM I have will be modded and ridden.

I'm trying not to judge, but it's hard to imagine investing close to $20K into a bike, plus dealer shop labor and then list it for sale for a loss. WTF ? Who does that... Lol Hopefully he chimes in on the Chad Reed bike that I am guessing he bought to resale, without riding it ?

I can understand building that KTM the way he did. But, yes, I would at least ride some. Maybe his health won't allow him to ride? But the fun in a build is to do the work yourself. I would not pay a dealer anything unless it involves a nitrogen tank or some crazy process I can't do myself. But hell, I built my own RM500AF myself, so I would not be spending that crazy money a dealer is going to gouge for. I do think it's worth every bit of 15K though. Maybe if I hit the lotto. Then again, I'd want to build it myself.Wink Nice Bike.

Yup, I have ridden a bit. I kinda got bored with the YZ276f project and sold it before riding it. I had every intention to ride it when I started the project though. I will be keeping the KTM though. It's getting a big bore, Genius TB, the same WP suspension on the above and exhaust.
