Mouthguards

How many of you wear them? Bagget wears one but how many more on the line do? Custom mouthguard are associated with a reduced risk of concussions but they seem to lack a presence in moto.

Obviously not very many posters at vitalmx wear any type of mouth guard while posting...... Smile

Been using mouth guards for 10+ years. After facing into a jump and slamming face into bar pad and getting knocked out going for the lead in a race, I read up on it and found many cases of concussions due to impacts at the jaw. Key is to find one that allows you to breathe well, and not too thick. Brainpads have several models that fit well.

Those are cool, I always thought that it would be tough to breath with a mouth piece but I've never seen one designed like that. Looks like they have come a long way from the old football ones.

I have used one for several years. I feel like it helped me not get a pretty bad concussion a few years ago when I had a pretty big get off. It doesn't bother me at all. I'm about to get the boy one here soon his teeth are just about all grown in.
