Guys,
Looking at a Job Opportunity in Michigan. I currently live in the great state of Texas but work may call me elsewhere. What's the motocross scene like there? Any good? How many month out of the year will I get to ride?
Thanks,
Wile C.

Obviously RedBud (SW corner of the state) is awesome... Baja Acres (east side) is really sweet too. No shortage of tracks, you usually don't have to drive more than about an hour to find one.
Otherwise there are thousands and thousands of trail miles to check out. The farther north you get the less people you'll see and the better the riding gets (but the shorter the riding season because of the snow). I believe Michigan has the most miles of State-funded trails in the country...
It's just my preference, but the west side of the state is quite a bit nicer than the east side. Look for a place/job around Grand Rapids. GR is a great city, clean, friendly, not a whole lot of crime. There's also a shit-ton of mountain bike trails in this area.
Oh and weed isn't illegal in GR so that's kinda cool if you're into that sort of stuff. Also GR was named "Beer City, USA" so you'll find a lot of cool bars/breweries.
As far as the weather goes, you can usually bank on riding April-October, sometimes even into November and December (like this year...). This winter has been weird, not really any snow at all... Some winters we get snow from November to May.
I heard the deer hunting is pretty good in the UP
