I used to run a shoulder holster or whatever its called, and I can't stand normal sidearm holsters.
They are always in the way and just aggravate me and I don't really care at all for hip holsters.
Mostly because you get too many looks.
Im thinking an ankle holster/smaller weapon might be more suitable.
Anyone have any recommendations?
Also is GunBroker.com still good?
I haven't bought anything in a few years so kinda out of the loop!
Help me out. Thanks.

ankle holster no good with shorts, white socks and dockers, sends off a tourist look, plus I don't believe in smaller weapon and to hard to bend that far with moto-knees.
I'm super happy with IWB Remora holster, it really works. no clips, hooks, chains, nothing.

Ill check into this. This would work for me.
Anything else seems like Im always bumping it into shit. Especially normal holsters.
I sure appreciate the advice. Today I just said fuck it. Gotta get something better thats not always in the way.
What are/is the preferred weapons for CC now?

What do most cops carry now? 9mm ?
So what do CA people do if permits are so hard to get now?
Open carry on the hip? I see people all the time and it just makes people uneasy.
I know people who have CC for years with no permit. No see no care I guess.
One told me " its better the cops catch me with it, than a bad guy without it"
Getting caught with a concealed gun is in most places a felony, if you cant do it the right way then pay the price when caught.
I want the most rounds. Betters my chances of not running out before the criminal (or newly acquired criminal)with the cheap 10 round hipoint does!
Ballistics wise there's no difference between a 9 and a .40. The .40 is tapped out in a pistol.
Ankle holsters are good for real paranoid guys like me that need a back up to the conceal carry.
Joe my great grandfather carried everyday never had a permit. His entire life. Wasn't a criminal. Never had to use it either. But the system is designed for the criminal so you can illegally do whatever you want. Well I shouldn't say for the criminal, it's designed for Liberty. And to keep Liberty available to law abiding citizens you gotta give that right to criminals too. Point being like you said, Just don't get caught. Nobody condones that, but criminals do whatever they want--which gives them an upper hand on you everyday anyway.
So quick question. Is the rise I see of just regular joes with sidearms their way of saying I dont have or couldnt get a CCW permit?
I don't have a problem with it but I know it makes many uneasy. With it out of sight, people don't know the difference.
Hell, in my state you don't even need it. I live in an open carry state. As long as the weapon is in plain sight, it is supposedly "legal" to carry.
If you truly want liberty for yourself, you can have it in America. If you know your rights as a citizen, and never get caught breaking a law, you can do whatever you want......
The rise of joes getting sidearms--I dont think has anything to do with getting a CCW. There's nothing against owning firemarms without CCWs. If you never leave your land, why bother getting a CCW? You have every right to own a firearm, knive, rock, baseball bat, fork, or even a spoon to defend yourself in the event you become threatened by anything foriegn/domestic/governmental... I don't know If I even answered what you were asking, but like I said, I'm not really sure exactly what you're asking.....
Pit Row
The popular carrying weapons are the Ruger LC9, any of the Glock subcompacts, and I carry the M&P Shield. I really like the Shield. It's a workhorse, not very expensive and very reliable.
I thought that even that weak allowance of open cary was outlawed here years ago, but I could be wrong.
As far as obtaining a CCW in CA right now, you have to be able to convince the County Sheriff that you have good cause to need it.
That seems pretty subjective, and is probably just a way for them to say no to most applications.
I understand that business owners who deal with cash on a regular basis usually get okayed.
Other than that...
