As soon as the ice melts here in SC I am picking up a new to me 2015.5 KTM 450 Factory Edition.

BESIDES THE FORKS ....

What can you tell me about the bikes? Anything to keep an eye on?

Moto Hose inspired build soon. Wonder how White/Blue/Red graphics on a KTM would look with a Orange frame?

look into the 2016 sixdays replicas, they are red, white an blue. I really like the look

Have seen the 6 days and was thinking on those lines.

Asking about helpful hints like problem areas to look out for or Mods to perform and benefits (besides forks) .... not pages of ride reports and fork quibbling Laughing

I loved my 15 FE450 and ZERO issues with it (other than the cranky 4CS) and it's truly the best MX bike that I've ever ridden. I does everything awesome and is WAY easier to ride than either my 300SX's. I have a friends here in my garage for sale and it has 0.2 hrs on it. He had 3 of them and this was only started in his garage and was never ridden if you know anyone looking. Feel free to shoot me a text for the details at 508 243 1232

Since you specified "things to keep your eye on" the only thing people have reported is broken footpeg springs. Keep a couple in your tool box. Your buying the lightest, best power, best brakes, best turning, easiest starting, easiest air filter access, most core moto company bike on the market. The 40 page thread is correct. Buy WP Cone Valve forks and put all orange plastic on it. lol

Is the one you are looking at first shipment if so watch the right side number plate as no heat shield on it second shipment had one

I understand that if your dress is too long it can get caught in the rear sprocket when the shock fully compresses.

I've had mine since March. Had 2 recalls but no big deal. One was the battery and just got the fuel hoses replaced with the updated ones. The bike has been awesome. I'm 43 and its a vet riders dream. Light, smooth and electric start. All it needs is a cup holder. Got my suspension re valved at a Factory Connection and made a huge improvement in the forks. All I need now is a killer deal on some hoses! Hope you like the bike.

I the fuel line recall is in the works. Waiting on the part. What was the 2nd? Only one notice was sent out for this bike.

Moto Hose 250 & 450 Factory Edition kit is $99.95 and includes Silicone Radiator Hoses, Gas cap and Radiator Overflow hoses.

Awesome bike you don't have to do much to it. On mine originally I had it mapped because it had a slight lean pop, but last week just bought a vortex. Get your suspension done and your good to go. I spent the money on cone valves and the bike is truley amazing right now.

That dress could use an accent belt and maybe a collar, and those shoes don't go with it at all. Just my opinion. And that ruffle would definitely get caught up in the rear sprocket when your rear suspension fully compresses.

I too am looking for a cup holder does acerbis or UFO make one....has to be orange

You bring this up like I should be ashamed of spending time with my wife and supporting her and her hobby. I am not.

Yes I am involved in her 14-16th century reenactment hobby. That was a very special day where our SCA group hosted a 12th night part with ball room type dancing and a 6 cource feast for 600 people.

SCA is something like a Wren fair except everyone participates.
