They actually rode yesterday, and made the decision after that.

it could take weeks for his sensory input perception to come back to normal. there is absolutely no rush. with the amount of concussions he has had in his career, he may have hit his number and may NEVER feel the same again. these things don't have " no consequence. " like so many pretend to think.

How many concussions has Stewart had during his 15 year pro career?

I've read accounts of pro hockey players that walk into a room in their house and forget why they went in there or what they were looking for. Some of these guys are really messed up from concussions that they have sustained during their careers. In fact, concussions have ended careers in the NHL.

Exactly. depends on the region of the brain, or recurrent injuries to the same region things can add up quickly. all these guys who say he should be out there or blah blah blah need to take a step back and think about his long term well being.

the fact that he's trying to ride is a good sign, but his honesty about things coming at him on track " too fast. " is exactly what we're talking about: post concussion syndrome. and how long it may last depends on the history of brain trauma before, he may never be the same again. that's a very real thing when it comes to this.

While the odds are long, I don't think it would be too late for a run.
For a Championship?

Word on this end of the street is that James KO'd himself at his private track at home a week before A1, thus compounding his issues.
I hope he's set some bank aside. Retirement could be expensive.

I wouldn't put much merit into that, This guy also claims his local "B" riders are faster than BT101.

That really sucks for Stew.

I readily admit I have NEVER been a big Stewart fan, but I certainly enjoy watching him ride, and there is no doubt his unbelievable talent on the bike. Theres no question he adds excitement to every race he is a part of.

But honestly watching him the last few years, its just waiting for the yard sale. It sucks but no one can argue.

And I HATE seeing anyone hurt, it guts me to see someone carted off the track on a stretcher.

I kind of wish Stew hung up the boots a long time ago, instead of putting his body through these season ending injuries Every. Single. Year. since 2010.

Sad
A1 was far from a yard sale... barely a fucking lemonade stand sheesh....

Imagine that. Still not feeling well. I've said forever that he is just milking it to keep the check coming in. The doctor would NEVER clear him to practice if he was not well enough to be on the bike. He has been on the bike practicing.
If I am Mike Webb, I appreciate what he has done for the sport. But, I have a team and a staff that needs to work, and be paid. I also need my brand on the track. You think if Labron James was hurt and out this much that the Cavs would keep him because he sells Jerseys? They would not.

I wish SX was more like Nascar, and if your hurt, there is another rider on your bike. Then when the replacement performs they get rides, and the others go down the scale on the premier rides. It's a great system to try guys out. But in our sport or in Bubbas case, the bike sits on the stand.

I have no idea how this guy stays relevant. He's crashed his way out of more seasons than he's finished and spends so much time away that I normally forget he still exists.

Well dang it. I hope he takes as much time as he needs until he feels 100% ready. In this sport , you need to be 100% healthy in the body and mind , especially at the pace these guys ride at. Heal up soon James.
