It's not, that video was made sometime between Straight Rhythm-ish and now. The reason: the Yoshimura team has been running Renegade fuels for a few years but is now switching to ELF. 2015 Straight Rhythm was the first event they ran the ELF logo on the tank, instead of Renegade. Plus, the change from Twinwalls to Fatbars is recent.

Never mind, the team started running the ELF logo with Blake Baggett sometime during the 2015 season. That video could be from the Summer when he was coming off the couch.

i think so as well. never seen him like that.

quite strange how quick athletes gain weight if they are not racing. i mean he was off for a year but he said they prepared for the outdoors in case he could have gone racing. so that means he had only a view months to gain that weight. not even if i would try hard i could do that. Grinning

I originally wrote a reply about how he is fine and a couple pounds is nothing

But the way he looked after straight Rythm in the interview... He looked so gassed I thought he was sick. He straight up got tired in at least 1 main event I remember (there were more) last year when Chad came by him like nothing. He wasn't charging.

And the way he was talking about not having any motivation for a long time because it was 10 months or whatever till he raced and he hardly rode for months. A 20 year old James Stewart would of ridden a shit ton that whole time and be chomping at the bit for go time.

I'm pressing the panic button

When you stop your caloric needs drop and metabolism follows pretty quickly. Your appetite and eating habits take longer. If you go from 5000 calorie days to 2000 calorie days youll still have the desire to eat the way you have been, and your weight can get away from you pretty quickly

Lets not forget that when these athletes retire, (ex Carmichael) they no longer eat all of the health foods and they partake in all of the things they weren't aloud to do while racing such as Fried Chicken, Cold beers on Friday nights and getting down with a extra large meat lovers pizza from the italian restaurant down the street. And they deserve every bit of it!

I'm sure James will be fine on the new Colt45/KFC backed Yoshimura RMZ450.

A little extra weight makes for better front wheel traction in the corners to off set his and chads inability to live with airforks.

Better reinforce his folding chair at the A1 presser.Evil
