i dont think the energy drinks are going anywhere for awhile

i really wish they'd lift the tobacco/alcohol ban on motorsports advertising....i feel like most of the people who smoke and drink are going to do it the same amount regardless if eli tomac has a budweiser sticker on his helmet

..or a camel logo on his chest.

Lucas Oil keeps surprising me with the amount of involvement they have across different sports. I never realized how large of a company they are a piece of hair in the motor oil game. They're already involved in the sport but I could see them stepping it up. It would be nice to see an industry product be the title sponsor.

I wish Progressive would get a new representative for their commercials. Flo makes me never want to consider Progressive.

We all protect our own interests dont we?

If...in one fell swoop Monster,Red Bull and Rockstar pulled out of sx tomorow it would be bad I agree. But I doubt it would happen that way. If, or rather when they do, it will be incremental. First one, then a couple years later the next, then the next. There will be time to pursue other sponsors.

The promoters would find another sponsor just as they always have.

Monsanto would like to make us think that before GMO corn the whole of the world was starving and that we just cant live without them and their corn seed and chemicals.

The strategy is no different in any industry. Make the public believe that they cant live without your product and fight like hell to keep it that way.

Actually none of those Monster logo's on Eli have anything to do with Monster being the SX sponsor. Those are two completely different sponsorship contracts. Monster pays a boat load of money to be the sponsor of the Kawasaki factory team, then they have another contract that has them payout even more money to Feld to be the SX title sponsor.

I'm not a fan of energy drinks just as much as the rest of you but I would honestly prefer Red Bull to take the helm, I've been to the X-Fighters and it being FMX you think it'd be a bogan exhibition but it was actually really professional and inviting, they had good food from every country that the tour takes them and had plenty of moto-related stuff that was super interesting. Even from watching their other events on TV or whatever they seem to focus their attention on the actual sport they're exhibiting, putting more heart and facts into it rather then having a bunch of bros going around trying to be gangster, dudes doing drifts and so on. It's not just for the sake of the pit experience but this stuff shows in either companies broadcasts too.

I could be completely wrong however due to the fact that 95% of the fan base is probably what I described above.
