noticed that they took all the contingency out in Ohio for next year and it looks like they aren't paying in the 40+ class at very many events Sad

Unfortunately I ride a 2006 RM250 so do not qualify.
Not that I'm any good or anything but it just sucks.

Why would a 40 plus year old man be looking for contingency money anyway? Might want to focus that energy on looking for a better job. Or another hobby......

Newman, thanks for your concern but my job as an IT Manager is actually paying the bills quite well, but it is always nice to have a few extra dollars from doing something that you still love doing. People like you make me laugh Smile

Well, at least I made you smile! You're previous post with the sad little depressed emoticon had me concerned about your health and well being. Especially with it being the holiday season and all. Sounds like you have your bases covered though. Smile

That was the thought process that came from the Suzuki contingency guy a few years back (at LL's) as to why they cut the VET programs. I sold my bike the following week. I always want my hobby to pay for itself and I will try just a little harder on the last lap if I know the pass is worth some cash.

Looks like they dropped the Mini O's altogether.

Teggers i gotta agree with you on that one, but it seems that isn't a very popular opinion on moto boards any more. I think contingency is a good way to help for an expensive sport but at the same time i think it keeps some of the fast young kids from moving up a class in hopes of making some easy money. I guess it is like so many good things, with the good comes the bad and there is always a way to screw the system.

150 to win a gncc! what a joke, i would tear that check up. Kawasaki pays 10,000$ to win a gncc.

Husky pays 3,500 cash to win one of our local races.

I thought it was continued as well, since that is the proper abbreviation.

Seriously, if you can't spell, just copy, and paste.

We're not crying...we just like proper spelling here. You are not text messaging. You are (most of us anyway) at a computer.

They all have spell check...it's not difficult to be correct. Typos happen, but laziness is unacceptable by many.

Oh...you're from Wildomar...Never mind.

Lou got bit by the newb bug. As for your original post, if it said contingency It wouldn't have run off the page and gotten resurrected by me.

Don't take it so seriously. We sure don't. Its razzing ya. Since the post said Honda Cont. to most that would mean Honda Continued, so if you were interested in the contingency dollars, you might pass by it.

Try again. We still like you. Just like seeing if the new posters have what it takes to stick around. You will get your chance to do the same.

Welcome.

Why must you hide in the shadows ?

Why not be there Saturday for the GP as well, it's two day combined score event ?
