Why is it so hard for them to straighten the blade when the go by your driveway? I got a three foot lump at the end of my driveway. It takes me a few stabs at getting my 2 wheel drive truck out somedays.

Every year I gotta teach them how to do their job. I guess you don't get the sharpest guys applying for that job.

My old man used to know one of the drivers and he'd stop by for irish coffee during his route. It used to piss the neighbors off something fierce when he would clean our driveway in one swipe.

My brother in law used to work for the city. My road would also be the first one to get plowed.

Once my neighbor left and came back in a few minutes. I was out playing in the snow with the kids so I asked him what was up...he said that he thought since our road was nice and cleared, that the main ones would be too...


Now I live on a private road so no plows... Of course the 14" of annual snow that we get isn't too big of a deal. Tongue

The road I live on now has to one of the last roads plowed in the county. On top of that, I live at the end of the road, and it's not a typical cul de-sac, it just ends into my driveway. So, depending on who remembers to plow our road, usually ends up making some stupid decisions on how to turn around and plow by my driveway.



Luckily I have one cool neighbor with a new Kubota who likes the maple syrup I leave in his mailbox every season.

My Uncle:

On November 16, 1994, a Crystal Mountain, Inc. snow plow cross the centerline on Crystal Mountain Blvd., and struck a pick-up truck driven by the decedent, Daniel J. Baker. He died the following day as a result of the injuries sustained in the collision. A motion for partial summary judgment on the issue of liability was denied on January 1997, on the basis of deposition testimony of the driver of the snow plow, indicating that he was going a safe speed and that he hit a path of ice, causing his vehicle to slide through a corner and across the centerline. Liability was admitted by the defendant 10 days prior to trial.

I gave the old plow diver 40 bucks last year on christmas day. He was good about straightening the blade out in front of the driveway. I'm training the new monkey, he'll get it I just can't give up on him.

Talked to the plow driver up at our cabin in Big Bear. 4 feet on our driveway. How much does your guy charge you? $40 bucks to do our driveway for xmas. Can't wait to get up there and do some boarding!
