Several of us from oklahoma/texas went out to world vet for the first time. Also first time at Glen Helen. We had an awesome trip. On Saturday, in 2cd +50 novice moto, I was trying to pass 2cd place on the first lap when he swapped out going up the first hill and took out my front wheel. The whole pack missed me but I think they all ran over my bike. It was trashed.
Luckily I had brought my son's new sx150 along to rob parts off of, so I just decided to race it on Sunday. I haven't been on a 125 really since the 1980's and was a little worried about the hills but I had a blast. The 150 is so much fun to ride. I got killed on the start and up the hills but it was a blast down the hills and in the corners. Went into Talledega about last in both +50 novice motos and my first +45 novice and passed a ton of guys on the first lap every moto. The +45 had over 35 riders and I made it up to 15th, but decided not to beat up my son's bike anymore and skipped the last moto. In the +50, I got up to 5th the first moto and up to 4th in the 2cd moto. I had so much fun, I may ride that 150 again next year. The track and the bike lived up to the hype and all of us are planning to go back again next year.

I hope the guy that landed on my 450 and went down is ok. He was apologizing for tearing up my bike but it wasn't his fault. Also there were several random people that I don't know who were yelling, and a guy waving a towel every lap. 2 stroke fans I guess. If any of those guys see this, thanks, that was really cool.

Awesome! Well done.

I guess we can settle the debate. 4-strokes break more and cost you more money. Proof.

Nice, sounds like you guys had a good trip. Congrats on a well ridden race and glad you made it out alright, the bike is always reparable.

Hit me up next year. Hauled a texas friend's bike out this year so he could fly. Don't mind taking yours if we got room

No, actually my 450 works good I thought on oklahoma/texas tracks but it was beating me to death out there. The 150 is brand new, stock, set the clickers(had no idea how it was going to work) according to what mxa said in last issue for 170lb rider and went with it. It was very plush and didn't bottom hard so didn't wear me out to much. It does need bigger rear sprocket for that track, had to bang the rev limiter up all the hills cause it would bog if I shifted and didn't want to burn his clutch up. I got to get my 450 forks to work that well.
