They are tough and take a beating. Sure, they're expensive, but I haven't had to replace my cooler each year, like I do with those Coleman ones. Plus, you can use dry ice in these and they don't crack. They'll actually freeze a beer.


The tumblers and can holders are equally as awesome.

In Baja a Yeti can survive a year/race season. On some of our trips the big Coleman's barely make it all the way dwon the peninsula.

Yeti's can survive the beating they'll get in the back of a Raptor.

I have a $50 coleman that is a good 10 years old. Still works perfect. Ice is cheap.

I'm a Yeti dealer and I don't own a Yeti cooler. Not saying they're junk, they are everything they're advertised to be, I just don't have the need to keep ice for three days. I do, however, own some of those tumblers and the Colster (huggie). The tumblers are the shit. I've got a crap ton of Tervis tumblers, but the Yeti tumbler blows them away. I'm not real high on the huggie, though. It's heavy as hell once you put a beer in it, and it really doesn't seem to improve upon the foam ones.

I sell the hell out of the coolers. Yeti is so far behind on production, it'll be early 16' before I can get any meaningful stock back on the shelves.

he is also on his 4th Subaru and has the stickers on the back to prove it.

the best is when he ties the Yeti and kayak to the top of his Sube...

That Pod is pretty damn cool! That would be very nice to have when I have my river camping trips. Is orca the company that was in a lawsuit with Yeti? I remember a company getting sued for basically building the exact same product as the yeti, and they do look a lot alike

Nice video. From that guys test it looks like Engel and IRP kick ass. Maybe next summer an Engel 123 will be in the budget.

I'm not sure on the details. I just seen it on the book this morning.

Found this in the comments "Truck caught on fire while driving down the road. No one was hurt but the truck burned up. When he was inspecting the truck after the fire was put out he discovered the yeti and the ice so he took a few pictures."

Ok, where are you going you can take a cooler but not a fridge? Kayaking is all that comes to mind. Which is what the Coleman is for.

And I guess if you go to Cumberland island. But if I was going to bring a cart to haul the cooler in. Then I'd bring the fridge and a small battery/solar panel.

I'm gonna bet the cup was well out of the heat zone. Impressive none the less, but the cup wasn't in 1,000F heat. Maybe 200F

yup, kayaking and canoeing for fishing and multiple night camping trips is where we bring mine. I spend a lot of time on the buffalo river and float down to make camp. And in response to the coleman, yup, I've about 8 of those in my shop with broken hinges, warped lids and broken handles. Look man, I'm not trying to convince you, I'm just simply stating that from first hand experience and the hell I put them through, the yeti is a very nice piece of equipment to have. This is almost exactly like the A-kit suspension thread that was in the moto forum, haha. But oh well, I have a yeti and i'm glad I have it.

You can tell it didn't get very hot by the way the lid is melted to the side of the cup. Blink
