Worm had a Honda before, don't remember if it was an '07 or '08....

But I will say El Wormo has definitely picked up the pace since he got the '09...

best cornering bike I have ever ridden. I also have a 08 crf250 and I think the 450 out corners it hands down.

It is a gorgeous bike for sure.

I am still on the fence on purchasing one, but the more I hear, read and have seen, the more I think I will wait another year.

Seems to have some issues....suspension imbalance, needs a pipe, potential compression release failures, FI mapping isn't quite right. I'm definitely not scared to tackle those things, but the major beauty of the 2004-2008 CRF450s is that they don't need a single thing to be completely race ready, even for fast riders.

Most people I have talked to figure that stock for stock, a 2006, 2007, or 2008 is a better overall bike. I know they will sort out the platform, methinks 2010 will be the ticket.

I bet the suspension... to fix it, they need to take the linkage off. Cause, like... the KTMs have great rear suspension this year, and well.. they dont have a linkage, and the CRF does... so, I mean like... it just makes sense. Till they take the linkage off the Honda, they wont be any good for Supercross. Man, you guys are SOOOOO stupid. No race bike should have a linkage. Duhhhh...

i love my 09. suspension and all. turns better then any 250f imo. motor doesnt have the 'hit' like 08 but is no slouch. i think its actually faster, as throttle response is instant and the engine seems to rev faster and more free then previous years.

What shop do you deal with Camp? I haven't been to Englishtown in a couple of years and don't know who is working where anymore.

You ever ride at Blue Diamond? Maybe I could beg for a ride if I see you there? All I have is a stinken '02 CRF450 that the wife says is good enough for the few times a year I can get out to ride.

get a cosginer and/or some money down. At the shop I work at, If you've got enough money done. We finance in house. I do know some/alot of dealers don't have the means to do that. just my .02

i don't know what to say about that mapping stuff

i have tried at least 5 different maps and still like the stock one the best!

i do prefer a larger rear sproket, helps out of the tight corners a bit.

Have you ever ridden a RM250? That is the best cornering bike.

Damnit, I was set on the Kawi and now I can't make up my fooking mind. Contingency $$ looks nice, but with me going 450 only next year I want a bike that feels lightest and handles most like a 250f. Someone just call the CRF a piece of shit to make this easier for me.

Hey...I never said anything about how it handles or how fast or slow it is.... all I said was, it FELT light sitting on it, leaning it over compared to all the other bikes.

Well i sat on one and I thought it'd get headshake at high speeds. It was slow as shit too, wouldn't even bring the front wheel up. Super quiet though.

I sat on mine in my garage, and it was the best sitter I've ever sat on. "Sitter of the Year"
