the first post i have read in this thread that does have rossi tin foil hat on .

thursday press conference rossi starts attacking marc and makes it personal for no reason .

last weekends race , Marc passes lorenzo with 2 corners to go , taking 5 points off him , Ianonne passes Rossi on the last lap taking point off Rossi . How is Marc helping Lorenzo ???

the race , marc looses the front and runs wide lorenzo goes through , next lap the same corner he runs wide again but not as wide but rossi goes through , then starts the tit for tat with both of them passing just about every other corner with some great racing for spectators , until rossi run up the inside closes the throttle and aims at the out side of the track to run marc off on purpose . when someone goes up the inside of you you back out of the throttle and turn back up the inside of them like rossi did a lap or 2 earlier , but when the person slows down and keeps aiming at the outside of the track what do you do .

what rossi did was try to run marc off the track on purpose this according to the rules is not allowed , up until that point no rules had been broken , rossi broke the rules causing the crash and was penalised for it , any other rider in the paddock would have got a black flag so he got off lightly .

if he looses the world championship now he has no one to blame but himself , he has always played mind games with the riders over the years getting in their heads and messing them up this time it has bitten him in the arse .

people can jump up and down all they want simple fact is he broke the rules what he did was illegal , facts are facts
I couldn't agree more although I could care less about them giving the penalty or not. Everyone's fanboi-ism here is ridiculous, the butt hurt is strong...

I want you to tell me you don't see 93 put his head down, accelerate and lay into 46.
I also want you to tell me the guy with a wheel up can't pick his line.

Same thing with Stewart, every time I read a Kongols post I dislike him more hahah
1) Why have you always disliked Marquez and sympathized with Rossi?.....That just seems like a weird thing to say without backing it up with reasoning.

2) Are you saying that you don't judge others by their merits, but rather by their popularity and support?....and you think THAT'S funny?Dry Understandable.....if you are in highschool!

3) IMO, Marquez had a chance to stay on 2 wheels.....but then his pride got the best of him.

I think the other guys on the grid should just pull to the left and let the two championship guys handle their business.

Ha, I'll tell you what is bullshit, MM saying he pulled up and then Rossi kicked him.
That's a bald face fucking lie.
Anyone, anyone that watches the vids see's the midget hang right beside and half a bike behind 46.
93 grabs a handful of throttle, puts his head down and rams into Rossi.
He saw what was up, Rossi was done playing, and as we say here in The States took one for the team.

Fuck MM and Honda, and the paper champ to be crying Lorenzo.

Dorna used to do the same kind of crap when they owned the MXGps.

Believe me, this is just business as usual for them.
Race direction really didn't have much of a choice but to penalise Rossi. You could say that Marquez rode into Rossi and initiated the contact, which is a fair point, but the simple fact of the matter is that Rossi had not run him right out there and slowed right down to deliberately block him, then Marquez would not have been able to do that. I'm not saying that this entirely Rossi's fault, all I'm saying is that Rossi is more than just a helpless victim in this situation.

That's a load of crap, a few turns before MM brake checks Rossi, slowing him down.
93 had room left when the guy in front, Rossi, ran him wide.

Race director should have black flagged MM, he initiated contact, and not lightly, but with purpose.

What really gets me is the way 93 is lieing about it. At least Rossi is being straight up.

"I pulled up, he kicked my brake". Screw 93.

How do you black flag a guy that's already out of the race?

I don't remember MM brake checking Rossi tbf, so I can't really comment on that. Marquez lying about the incident is dissapointing, but I can understand if in the moment of contact he felt like Rossi had kicked him, video replays show that not to be the case. But at the end of the day is Marquez saying 'I think he kicked me' any different to Vale saying 'I think Marquez is slowing down to deliberately mess with me'?

Marquez did not brake any rules with his actions but he showed the world how immature and disrespectful he is. Rossi is at the end of a great career with this probably being his last shot at a championship only to have it taken away from him by a disrespectful Spanish punk. Why Marquez a former world champion would interfere with a title fight is beyound reason. I hope that the riders race hard but do it with respect for the championship contenders. Marquez has shown his true colors and I believe that the GP riders will make sure he does not win another championship.

The way I see it was MM was antagonizing VR to the point where Rossi got fed up with the shenanigans and pushed him wide in a corner, which is exactly what Marquez wanted. Marquez sees Rossi pushing him into the far edge of the track and says "ok, now's my chance" and bumps into Rossi, going down on purpose to try and draw a foul. In other sports it's called a "flop" or a "dive". Soccer players are notorious for it, so are basketball and hockey players, even some football players. Some dude bumps up against you, so you fall down and draw a flag. They practice that shit, and some of them are very good at it. I think Marquez has some bad feelings towards Rossi due to their history of racing against each other (and vice-versa), so I think he saw an opportunity to hurt Rossi's championship run, and he succeeded... I don't know that anyone told him to do it and I don't buy into the theory of him and Jorge playing buddy buddy with each other. I just think Marquez is a little punk kid that likes stirring the shitpot, especially when he has no chance of winning the championship anymore this year. He can't deliberately take Rossi out, because that would be too obvious, so his only other option (besides doing the right thing and letting them race) is to try to piss Rossi off enough to where Rossi retaliates. The same way you catch a Salmon: you throw something flashy in front of its face enough times until it gets pissed off and bites your lure. Marquez was fishing, and Rossi bit.

And what about if he finds the form he had last season and he qualifies on pole a dissapears in every race for the first half of the season. How are they going to stop him then? Marquez loves that kind of racing, he thrives on it, he's great at it. If he finds his best form then nothing short of sabotaging his bike will stop him.

Umm, maybe the same way Marquez just made sure Rossi wouldn't win this one

I realize Marquez usually has enough speed to walk off from everyone but on his few off days he better be ready for a knock down drag out.

The reality is this will be forgotten in a few years and Marquez will probably go on to have a legendary motogp career . . . unfortunately

I for one will not forgot and I will never look at Marquez the same, I have always defended his bone head moves with his insane desire to win, that's why he crashes out, that's why he is overly aggressive and dangerous at times . . . but this time he was just throwing a temper tantrum like a toddler and WAS going to get someone hurt!

Rossi checked up several times to avoid going down and when it was Marquez's turn to check up he didn't. At least Rossi was smart enough to make his point in a SAFE way, on the slowest part of the track. Marquez had just chopped off rossi's front wheel headed into that double apex right hander leaving him no room at a much higher speed.

you mean like Rossi ran it into his own teammate in 2012 in Japan? when he could have let him wrap up the championship there,

Rossi is no angel,

I think that is a bit of a stretch to think he would crash to make Rossi get a penalty, he could not have known if or what that penalty would be

if he really wanted to mess with him, he would finish in between them, and maybe even slow him enough for the next riders to get involved,

Re-watch the race. Look how wide Rossi is nearly every time Marquez makes a pass, the pass the corner before the incident is the only one that I would consider overly aggressive from Marquez. Every time Marquez went through he was taking advantage of a gap that Rossi had left.

I'd love to see the public reaction had this been the other way round

I agree 100% with your last paragraph. If Rossi was not such a respectful rider he could have hurt Marquez by taking him out in a high speed section. I can only hope that Marquez learns something from this incident.

I'd guess that what you said here is correct, I assume MM was trying to finish between them/slow him down, not try to crash. His actual intent was to fuck with Rossi.

I agree with that, overly aggressive on the last lap for a race win is understandable, overly aggressive on lap 6 when you are running off your pace to hold up somebody you have beef with so he doesn't win the championship is not so cool

But Marquez running off pace so that he could hold Rossi up is a matter of opinion and interpretation. You can't prove that's what he did, you can't prove that he didn't. I personally don't think he did, I think that's the pace he had at that part of the race, the bike didn't look settled, and I'm more than certain he has other things on his mind than whether or not Rossi wins the title. When he ended up in a battle with Rossi he rode agressively, probably because he was pissed at what Rossi had said previously. But I honestly don't think that Marquez entire game plan from the start of the race was to ruin his own race to ruin Rossi's title hopes, I just don't see it. He has other things to worry about

No, to do his damn job, which is to win races and get the best possible results for Repsol Honda. Also, they say in most forms of Motorsport the first person you want/need to beat is your team mate. Pedrosa has got awful close to him considering how many races he missed, which doesn't look good on him
