They definitely came to race today. The speed that Grant and Webb showed...incredible. Anderson i think came from 12th to 4th and would have gotten Febvre with another 2 laps. Mx2 McElrath was riding really well too.

I'll tell ya what though....it was an awesome sight seeing AC222 , Febvre , Borby777 , GP21 , Nagl , ect.....the dudes are super fast and very fun to watch. Borby is just strait up an animal. That guy muscles that bike around like nobody else. GP21 had some cool line choices. Febvre.....fast every where! AC222 looked good but probably got winded slightly.

Anyways....fun day all around. Was really cool seeing 5 AMA guys in the top 6 and had an American win mx2!!

Tomorrow is what counts. And i think the GP guys will definitely be dropping the hammer. Was cool though seeing the AMA guys get in there and mix things up.

And man....Grant and Webb both were on a mission today! I'm looking forward to tomorrow!

Cool!

Such a unique experience to enjoy. Have fun down there Jeff and most of all, soak it all in, as I think you are based on your post.

BTW, we all expect a full race report from you.Wink

Good racing today, the GP guy's will do better tomorrow, the lack of crowd and small number of riders on the gate kind of makes it a little less intense.

Hopefully tomorrow will be some good battles.

Cairoli looks very good for being off the bike so long.

I'm thinking if there were no fans today then there will be only a handful more tomorrow. Fans who traveled would be at both days. If gh is banking on the locals showing I'm concerned.

I hope that's not the case. This is a great race and i don't get why true moto heads around the area don't make it out. It's a GP with some American's thrown in the mix......it's badass racing!

I dig watching and studying the GP riders. They ride different in ways and create some cool / different lines. I'll try and make every year if they keep coming. Anyone missing is missing out i think.

The racing was awesome! Can't wait to see if grant and Webb will show those guys up tomorrow. It was just the qualifier, so we shall see.

1 thing I learned today, USA could send their C team to the Nations next year and still get the job done.

Maybe , Maybe Not , I think we should wait until the real racing begins before making statements like that ,

The GP regulars never show their hand in the Sat qualifying , it will be different today , you can count on that .

I guess yeah. It's a shame that the championship is decided, why would you go out there and try 100% when the championship is done and dusted and the Nations is just a week later... Grant and Webb are the two guys with the most to prove out there so you expect them to be up there... Today will be fun, looking forward to it. Just sucks CA is 8 hours behind us.. It's gonna be a long old day lol

I wondered how long it would be before someone got carried away. Really great race but dont start with the euro bashing ! americans are winning a race on there own turf which they ride all the time. We have seen this year how difficult it was for villo at the gps so dial it down a notch this is no indication on how it will go at mxon.

Euro bashing lol ? I'm English. My opinion is that the top Americans are going to be faster than the top euros around Glen Helen, just the same as I think the top euro guys would school any American in the sand... I call it how I see it. And if America lose the nations at Glen Helen I'd be extremely surprised.

Plus, if you read my next post you see I said there isn't exactly much left to race for in that 450 class unfortunately, so we'll see how it plays out later.

Why so defensive bro..

We have a half decent team to be fair simpsons being doing really well this year, ansties had his best year yet. Wilson will be the weak link in the chain due to having so much time off. I think france is the one who could win at the nations, i do like gh and today it should be good racing between the ama and gp guys, would have liked to seem dungey racing their

Yeah , its a shame, but if the championship was still alive it would be a different story ,guys would have to go for it , the only guys who are really going to be trying are Bobryshev and Paulin , as they have a chance to swap positions, which will mean a a big bonus difference for them.

Everybody else will be keeping in one peice for next week, and not taking risks .. just a pity that what was planned out to be a great season end will most likely be a bit of a damp squib.

Feel sorry for the Glen Helen guys that they just dont get the support from the riders to make this event pay, if i was running Glen Helen and they rocked up to practice, i would tell them they weren't welcome.

I think Team GB have the best chance of wining the Nations this year than they have in a long time! Obviously will require some luck but who knows. France and USA are solid, but our boys are all riding really well. Was shouting for joy when Deano went quickest in timed practice yesterday, just shit he crashed in the second turn of the race. Deano is another guy with a point to prove, so expect him to be top 5 later.

On a side note, the mx3 class next weekend includes Webb, Febrve and Deano! This is a awesome warm up race for them 3 next weekend.

Enjoy Jefro, I wish I was there for sure. It's good to see a number of riders from the AMA take part and mix it up in there. Hopefully the regular GP guys will have a bit in the tank to up it today and take it to Grant

They did good but Europeans usually save their race pace for race day. I expect our guys will do well regardless but they won't mop the floor with MXGP riders.
