Wife and I are about to head to Europe for our honeymoon and we end it with going to MXdN. Wanted to check if any other Mericans were going and wanted to meet up. Or if anyone had gone in previous years and had any tips. If any Euros wanted to hang I'm cool with that too. Super pumped but can't lie, I'm a bit nervous about being somewhere where I don't understand a damn thing they are saying.
Anywhere els in Europe they will speak Eglish to you except for France...
But ernee is worth a trip, mxdn 2005 was probably the best race I have ever been to.
Just get an english - french translator on your phone and you're good to go, worked for me
Have fun!

Shouldn't matter that much though, wishing the trip of a lifetime to OP, and hopefully some great racing action!!
every time we've been to france we've managed ok and my French isn't great. I think they do appreciate you trying to speak to them in their native language even if you're not very good at it. Maybe it depends on which area you go to? we've never really had a problem anyway
will be a hell of a holiday- the atmosphere there this year will be amazing, i'm very jealous because I cant go this year!
I'm not pointing fingers to the French, I'm just telling the guy my experiences there.
I dont know how some people make it through daily life. I really dont
Pop up to manchester, ill take you on the best night of your lives hqha
Congrats on the marriage and have a great honeymoon!
What is the best way to get from NTE to Ernee using public transportation? I land Thursday afternoon mid afternoon and am wondering how long it will take to go the 170km by public transport. Love riding the trains in Europe and wish the US had a system like Europe's.
Merci beaucoup!
Never been to spain so can't comment on that, but france, germany and especially italy can be a bit tricky if you don't know the native tongue. But if you simplify your language down to just a few key words you can get by most of the time.
