I will be venturing to Salado Texas from September 16th-September 26th. I will be staying at a friends, and renting a vehicle from PA...26 hour or drive.....but I am stuffing both my bikes in the back of said rental. I would love to ride some moto. Anyone have any good suggestions?
Murphy's MX is near Austin and is only open certain days. Say for Austin - Del Valle MX Park.
Freestone is only open for races.
If you can make it down, this Ol' Man will be happy to shread w/ya-

Are most tracks open 7 days a week down there? I'll have only been back on the bike for 2 weeks by then...but I wanna ride as much as I can.
Any good public golf course nearby?
Oak Hill Raceway (Decatur TX) typically has organized practice Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday unless there is a race. This is the track owned and operated by Mitchell Oldenburg's dad. It is a great track and although they haven't owned it for too long, the track has been around since the 70s. They have a big amateur national here in the spring. It is a sandy track and I think a lot of fun.
Village Creek MX (Ft Worth TX) typically has organized practice on Sunday during the day and Tuesday nights on the night track.
River Valley (Boyd TX) typically has practice Thursday, Saturday & Sunday during the day along with Friday night practice under the lights.
Those are the tracks in the Dallas area that I'd recommend that hold practices consistently.
I will be there from September 13th to the 19th. I would like to get 2-3 days of riding in. If anyone wants to meet up and ride during that week, shoot me an e-mail. Kx250f454b@yahoo.com name is Bob (obviously)
Have not rode since early June. But I ride Hurricane hills a lot, Evansville, mx 573, pumpkin patch, walden playboys...ive got two local tracks here that are an absolute blast (and free), so I don't venture out as much as I used to.
