I saw a kid with a TM at Mossier Valley one night and thought it was the coolest looking bike I'd ever seen. I ended up with the Kawi though because that was expensive enough for my old man.
Yeah I first saw a TM in person at the international motorcycle show in Vancouver back around 98, thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen and always wanted one ever since. Ended up getting my first one in 2002, I've bought a bunch of other brands between then and now but the TM's have always been my favorite and I've been back on them since last year.

You should see the new 85's, they're insane. The old ones were cool but kind of funky looking with the full sized parts strewn on them.

TM will most likely never do what is needed to compete on the professional MX/SX series in the U.S., they do not have that mindset as selling more bikes is a priority...............doing what they do in Europe is more than enough for them

Yes, it is full on street legal dual sport, although I took off the head and tail lights and turn signals, mirrors, tool kit and passenger pegs. Still has a dash, gps, key, switches and mirror mounts, kickstand and horn. 2015 Beta 500 RS. It is really a 480. The wheels have balancing weights and it will do high 90's mph the way it is geared.

They don't have to sell a single unit guys, just have 400 sitting in a warehouse in the U.S. somewhere "available for purchase"

Anyone see the tm (I know the euros did) lead mx2 qualifier last weekend? Thing looked good (track was kinda smooth though) but a bit slow.

Still cool they are trying! Get some more hp some good riders and they could be up there

It was a custom made frame and swingarm and what I believe was a Honda engine. First ever disc brakes. The whole bike was one-off except for the engine. Nicknamed the 'tin can'.. You can't do that today because of this rule that nobody seems to be able to explain.

Was about to mention that he hole shorted the qualifying race and race 1 leasing for a few laps , then worked his way back to around tenth , bike has the speed put Hurlings on it and he would put it on the box for sure .
I love the bikes I have both TM and KTM's the TM has a stiffer chassis but after 1-2 sessions it feels great loads of feed back from the front end and they hook up nice in the rear .
Just seen a pic of the 2016 on FB they look sweet

It just seemed like from the coverage that it was down on power and he was getting pulled by anstie but I'm probably wrong. Hard to tell sometimes from a short video!

No power was fine , I watched the full races , you don't hole shot 2 races and 3 rd in the third race if you are low on hp

I've seen 3 or 4 TM's at Loretta's this year so not sure if there has been a rule change or what? I know before you couldn't run TM's because of homologation rule and something about their head bolts. But there's been a few kids on them this year so maybe we'll start seeing more of them. Awesome looking bikes especially the older ones (98-04ish) I always wanted one of those 85's so trick looking
