When I went there it was my very last option as a motocross racer but 5 years later it turned out to be my home and some of my favorite people to be around. I didn't have any options when I went there but I'm glad it worked just the way it did. God has a plan for everything and me being in that situation is perfect proof! It was some of the best times of my life!

2. No maintenance whatsoever! I wish I cared more but image isn't my main priority!
3. It's more of a recent thing with off road. Maybe 3 years ago I really started to like it. Motocross came to me really naturally and was always so easy as a child but it wasn't until I was at the bottom looking in that I really knew how much I loved/needed it. I love to work hard and I pride myself on it. Motocross and working hard at it is what I do. I still love to ride and I enjoy my job everyday.

Zach,

I really thought it would go better. I knew world champion in the first year would be a tough ask but I felt he would be a threat. I really don't know where it went wrong but I do know it's tough to go there and race. Period. Then, stack the pressure to do well with the hype and being basically a rookie and it was a tough combination.

Idk. I really would like to see where two strokes would be if all the money and resources that were put towards the four stroke had been thrown at the two stroke. I can't let go of the 3speed bike Dixon insists on. What was the best thing about it except for high hp, which really hasn't anything to do with the 3speed transmission? I don't remember you or any of his riders being holeshotkings, I do however remember quite a few dnf. Why make a bike that revs to the moon and blows up every other moto? In what way does it give an advantage on the track?

Actually, the three speed only blew up on me one time. The bike was so easy to ride. I never used first or fifth anyways so for us it was just dead weight being pulled by the crank. It took some of the thought out of riding and it was really fast.

I think every European has huge respect for guys from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Usa for coming over and try racing here. I sometimes feel you don't get the credit you should back in the US. Do you think this has changed or will change? Do you think that it scares some US riders from trying? The last ten years only you and RV2 was able to overcome all the challenges and fight in the top really. What have you learned as a rider from racing grand prix? I don't know why more guys don't go. Maybe it's daunting or they are scared but it's a great experience. I would say that I didn't gain a lot of advantage in my riding by going but definitely in life. When you are 18 and put in a foreign land you learn to sink or swim real quick. When I went to England I had the last $1000 I could get together for my trip and when I changed it to pounds I got £432 or something like that. The rubber met the road real quick and I feel like that simple yet huge moment in my life was one of the biggest turning points I have ever had. You learn to just roll with the punches and blend in a little. I am so grateful for the time I spent there and all the people I met who were over the top nice to me!

Not a chance! Sidecar is the sketchiest thing ever! I considered it one year at the ken hall and backed out last minute. I remember them and they were always so supportive and awesome! Tell them hello for me!

I actually got it given to me for my first trip to Ponca City in 1998 when I was 8 years old. I started off racing with 38 but someone had that when I signed up for Ponca so they gave me 338.

I always like St. Jean D' Angeley in France and also Tueschenthal in Germany. Possibly because I always had my best results there. I like Thunder Valley a lot here in the states and also Unadilla. Supercross is all about the same. I love Daytona though. The atmosphere during bike week is just awesome!

There has been alot of back and fourth on the forum about you racing the mxon. Some say that since you raced for puerto rico that deems you ineligable to race for the US. Is this true? or would you be able to race if asked? thanks for taking your time to answer . I, for one, am all for you racing the 350 in mx3 at MXON.

If you compare the "endurance" or attrition of GPs vs AMA, how would you scale the difference between the two?

The AMA schedule sounds brutal, 17 supercross races, 12 outdoor races and some important off-season races (ex. Glen Helen GP). The supercross season is week in, week out and nationals isn't that much better either. The GP schedule on the other hand (only 18 GPs, and most of the time two weeks or more time between a GP) sounds much more relaxing. Is it really that huge of a difference? Or do some "side-races" (like British national series) balance it a bit out?

The biggest thing is keeping it fun and not letting the seriousness overtake the fun. It's a long career if you make it to the pro level and if it's not fun and something you enjoy then it could get old.

A little bit of both but these days probably more the work side than the talent side. Everyone has a trainer and is on a program and is working hard so it's definitely a time in our sport where you have to work hard. Talent alone isn't enough anymore.

Definitely Pourcel. It's so different to the way I ride and it's also really effective. He makes it look so easy.

The Florida GNCC. One of the roughest gnarliest things I've ever encountered.

As far as my eligibility I think I'm good. Same as Dean switching. I think the rule is that you can change one time. It would be awesome to get the spot!

I've never done all 17 SX races so I can't really speak from experience but I think they are close. The travel in Europe is mostly done on the road in a small camper whereas here you fly. Most seasons in Europe I would do around 30 races between GP's, British Championships, pre-season Internationals and Internationals during the season. The GP season still spans the same amount of time and you still have to be in shape and ready to race for all those months. Most of the time the breaks in the GP's are filled with some other race or a few days of driving to get back home from a race.

Its a great place and you do have alot of fans down here.
I'm up for racing anywhere. I would always entertain the idea of coming down there. I've never been and would definitely like to check it out.
