If he won the championship his contract was to automatically renew at the same pay. No championship and he was able to negotiate for a multi year deal for huge money(at the time), which he did. It was known throughout the industry.
Thanks. Surely teams have rethought their contracts since then? I bet Yamaha would've liked to have that one.

Hey, does that mean he purposefully threw that hard pass on Muhtassovitch (pretty sure I spelled that wrong) a couple rounds earlier, to wreck the crud out of himself and get the points close? If so, that's one crazy MF'er.

Damn, how many pages would the "Bradshaw threw the race AND championship" thread have been. Has any other premier class rider ever thrown a championship in order to get a better contract? I know it was getting to be quite common in the 125/Lites SX to prevent pointing out and losing your ride/career.

What's this? Was there ever an admission on Bradshaw's part?

How would losing the title get him a better deal? I seek informations.

Wow I never knew that and always wondered about that. Now that his moto career is over, I wonder if he has ever admitted it? I imagine even if he didn't throw the race that excuse sounds better than choking as bad as he did! LOL What was the bonus for winning compared to how much he made from Yamaha for the next few years? Interesting stuff there!

Supercross only?!? C'Mon Jeremy, really?

And I'm guessing Lechien getting busted with weed and fired would have been a 10-pager at least
