Jimmy Albertson has seen it all, and done it all. Riding out of a factory rig? Yep. Privateer? Done it. Nationals and GPs? Yep. MXoN? Yep, as a member of Team Puerto Rico. He's also helping out with announcing duties during the Nationals while healing up from a pair of shoulder surgeries. We've seen him on Hondas, Suzukis, KTMs, and he's currently back on Yamahas, where he had much of his early amateur success.

He's seen all sides of the sport, and we know he's not generally short on opinions.

Sooo...what questions do you have for him? Bring your best, and be respectful. He'll be in here all week, until 6/4/15.

All things considered, if you personally could race in any 5 year period in the history of American MX/SX, when would it be, and why?

Example: 77-81 because I want to clean out Bob Hannah and ride works bikes.

When you return, are you going to be the only rider under the Arma/Motosport tent? Do you have plans to bring another rider on board since Mitchell went to TLD?

Jimmy! Thanks for being here and taking the time to answer questions. Really really cool of ya!

I've got a couple questions for you, you can pick which ones you want to answer.

1) What is your most memorable race?

2) If you could be sponsored by anyone (other than ARMA of course), who would you want?

3) Where did you get those sick American flag boots?

4) What would you like to do post motocross? Race something else, be a commentator, continue as a team owner?

5) We just saw Chad Reed change his mind about being a team owner/rider. What is that like? I know it's more work but in what ways is it better or more rewarding than just being a rider? Do you like it more than being a rider, or would you rather be able to just ride and not have to deal with all of the team development and management stress?

6) What's your take on the rider safety issue? Both you and Trey have been on the wrong side of that a few times, so would you say the sport is too dangerous? If so, what kind of changes would you like to see?

7) Most importantly, when are you gonna sign Ronnie Mac to the ARMA team? Tell him you will just put ARMA stickers on his PBR cans.

Top Jimmy, out of all the Honda generations you ran, where does the 07-08 rank. What was your favorite year. Thanks

hi Jimmy
i would like to ask about your shoulder problems, what exactly did you have for a diagnosis, and what repairs were made?
do you expect to be back to 100 percent?
were you problems from seperations or dislocations
i ask this because i have had many shoulder problems, seperations, and broken collar bones, but i have had only one dislocation, and they had to put me to sleep to get it back in, i see you at the races saying your shoulder popped out and u got it back in and tried to ride, either im a pussy or your just a tough bastard, its been 13 yrs since my rotator cuff surgery but it still hurts quite a bit every day, hopefully there is better technology they used on your current repairs
also some people probably dont know how much a shoulder dislocation hurts, i have had dislocated, elbow, dislocated hip, and broken pelvis, by far the shoulder hurt the worst
i guess i would like to know the run down on what you got done, and will it affect the air wheelies?

Why hasn't Ronnie Mac shown up and actually raced a National? I think that would be hilarious.

First of all Jimmy thank you for doing the q and a session. My question to you as a full on privateer for the outdoors. You read and hear guys looking for help and say they can't make a living racing outdoors. How much does it cost per week to enter a race and pit passes along that all goes with it like hotel and fuel ?

That being said how much can a privateer earn at a race for say like 12th to 20th place ? And how much can he earn in contingency for the same placing that weekend ?

How do the riders feel about their opportunities to showcase their sponsors so as to create better sponsorships for themselves?

What if anything do you think could be done to make the racing closer for all 40 guys?

Is it now a joke amongst riders to say on the podium "I can't thank my sponsors"?

Which pro do you think reads vitalmx to much?

Do you think the drug testing in moto is necessary and worth the cost?

Do you have the contact info for the Beer goggle company? Can't seem to find them anywhere but the local dive bar and they never have the PBR flavor. The vision sucks on all the others the longer you wear them.

You riding Swan in October again?

What is your opinion about retired pros that quit racing and never do a gate drop again? Do you think it's the grind for so many years that it's not fun anymore? I see a few retired pros do some off races, but the majority just stop. Does the pro circuit just drain all the fun from racing bikes? I'm talking about local races not nationals. Thanks

Hi Jimmy.

I'll keep it brief.

Everyone has that "one day"; the day where everything clicks and it seems like you are riding in slow motion while you throw down the fastest laps of your life.

When was your "one day"?

Hey Jimmy, just wanted to know, is it awkward when you get interviewed by your wife or not? Thanks for taking the time to do this, can't wait to see your answer.

At what point in your life did you know you had "it"? As in the talent and speed to make it pro.

Thanks!

Dear Jimmy

I don't want to go all Pete Rose on you and get you into a lifetime ban, but I am curious if you played the MX fantasy leagues while you were racing and if so did you ever punt a rider over a berm to net you double points?

Hi,

How do you rate MXGP vs Nationals? For example 2 vs 1 day races.

Btw here is 2 pics from Swedish MXGP a few years

I've been riding for about 2 weeks now and I feel the best I have in five years with my shoulders! Still a long ways to go to get my shoulders back to 100 % but I would definitely love to race the last round in Indiana and the U.S. gp.

If I could pick any period I would pick the one we are currently in! The bikes are unreal straight out of the crate And the tracks seem to just be getting better and better! People that want to race in the 90s say that because they want to smoke pot and party lol
