A local guy has a decent shape one for sale, I contacted him yesterday for $750 and he didn't respond...... well he reposted it today for $1500. It's a 35 year old bike, what's it really worth?

I'd like to have myself a little CR125 collection. I already have the 02-07 bike covered, I would like to have a the first year aluminum framed model, a 92 Peak replica, a mid eighties bike and the 81 as the first mono-shock Progressive linkage water cooled 125 would be SWEET!!

Yea no. I don't think that's the 1500 81 CR125 Neumann was talking about.
The kind he means didn't have their top ends removed with a mallet before. I wouldn't pay 750 for that bike. I don't think I'd pay 500 with the new cover.
But money makes everything better. 2000 anna whole bunch of garage and Internet hours you can have a real nice 81 CR125
Joking aside, that thing is tired iron. You can do better than that. How can a man think that bike is worth 1500?

He pulled the old "people are asking alot more than 1500"...... and I told him it's one thing to ask and another thing to get it....

A dollar a cc if it runs!Smile

Show him the RM100 I bought a couple weeks ago for $500.00. This guy pulled the same "I heard they sell for thousands". Then he says he was hoping to get $600.00.

Don't let Hubbard know. His 81 needs a new topend. I know he is hoping to find a Mugen kit for it but I'm sure he would love to have a DG ported cylinder too. Smile

Looks like a 700-800 dollar bike to me.

actually I have both a stock cylinder and DG ported cylinder with freshly bored from Bore Tech and new piston/rings. both are either 1st or 2nd over, I'd sell either.

Well got the second CR125.... it just wasn't the water pumper .

It needs some TLC and the correct shock, but should be a decent platform to work off of. Not bad for $1.20 per CC!!

1986 was a great year, too. As long as you dodge the clutch cover rot you will have a lot of fun with that bike. I sure wish I still had my '86 CR250, boy an amazing time for Team Red!
