I feel bad you were bothered on a race day about this, GuyB, but...

The topic was about 28 pages of the 9/11 Commission report that remain classified, and have always been so.
Ron Paul and some other Senators have introduced legislation to make them declassified.
Senators that have viewed them are not allowed to take anybody else into the chambers or take any notes. Senators (Paul, Widen and others) say they implicate Saudi Arabia as a financier of the 9/11 attacks.

It's not some wild conspiracy theory. These are US Congressmen (not just Paul) that want these pages released. They were classified under order of the Bush Administration.

Nothing in that thread worth saving. Nothing in the 28 pages worth reading.

Oh, I probably did participate then. We all know by now that George Bush himself climbed the towers and planted Thermite in strategic places. What more is there to discuss? Smile

I am sounding like a broken record- but Bush had 28 pages of the 9/11 report redacted. (the same report he never wanted in the first place)

According to former Senator Bob Graham, “The 28 pages primarily relate to who financed 9/11 and they point a very strong finger at Saudi Arabia as being the principal financier.”

So far 46 US Senators have asked Bush to declassify them. (You know- the usual bunch of foil hat conspiracy wackos. Whistling )
Anyhow, I am done posting about it. it was just an odd choice for deletion with all the stuff that gets spewed here. I mainly post it because of the Bush ra-ra people on this forum. You can trust that guy as far as you can throw a barrel of oil.

In order for things to be declassified, EO 13526 has to be followed. Its a pretty long process

I viewed it as more political than anything...especially with Rand being a candidate. And I tend to delete all political stuff.

Well, it would be good to know if Rand is a troofer. I actually always liked his old man and in fact like both of them for their constitutionalism (is that a word?) but both of them are always right on the edge of the reservation. Smile

Yeah, but why not just let it go? I mean so what if its religion or politic based or any other topic? As long as it doesnt surface in the regular moto boards why even mess with it? If it does click em from up there, simple.

I have a feeling it's not necessarily the topics themselves, but the posters can't seem to refrain getting into a pissing match. Both sides have their beliefs, and there are always the few that can't discuss them amicably. Plus, the non moto board turns into one big political area. I wouldn't mind having one or two threads in there about either topic, but any more and anything non related seems to get flushed to the bottom quickly.

Maybe a solution is to start a section of the forum called "Religion and Politics". Maybe just have the rule that once things get confrontational, the thread is deleted? I don't know. Either way it seems like a moderator fiasco that Guy just doesn't want to put up with. I like to talk politics from time to time just to see what everyone's talking points. I like the opinions I get in the moto forum more than a political forum. But if it can't happen, it can't happen.

Yup thats my point.....I just think its easier for the mods to just look the other way on it all. Everyone is behind the safety of a keyboard anyway so who cares. No ones getting beat up or shot or whatever. Again, the major stipulation is that it DOESNT get let up from below decks. Its one less area to moderate then. I give Steve credit for being very smart and could pick out posts from people in the moto board who wont let things remain below decks.

And like you, I like hearing the different view points from all spectrums.
