How many FIM World Champions are racing in the Lucas Oil Nationals?

How many FIM World Champions are racing in the FIM GPs?

Feel free to list the riders...I'll wait...

OK, I will play.

Ken Roczen, CP and Marvin Musquin are riding in US nationals. Am I missing anyone else?

Tony Cairoli, David Phillipearts, Tyla Ratray, Jeffrey Herlings and Jordi Tixier are all FIM champs racing FIM.

Whats your point?

Thats a fair call. In that case, I would need to add Ryan Dungey and Chad Reed to the list of FIM champs racing the nationals.

I do not blame Weigant for calling it like that, Malin is doing the same, and to be honest, I think it is kind of a normal "marketing" and none is really wrong since both series are either ultra competitive & generally with a couple guys really above everyone in the world, or a world championship.

The questions above are interesting. It is difficult to answer. I do not know which series is stronger is term of $$$. You may think it is the US but Europe has a similar market and the GPs are tending to cover more overseas countries (Mexico, Brazil, etc). So I think it is hard to really know.

In all cases, it will be remain impossible to group both series since there is no need for that and the costs would be too high for any privateer. In the GP there is already some budget issues with overseas GPs, so it would make it worse financially if that series would do let us say 5 GPs in the US and in Canada.

BTW, a GP in Canada is a great idea instead of 2 GPs in Brazil !

Please point out all these "dipshit" posts then, because the only ones I'm seeing are from Americans.

It just makes the USA look silly in the eyes of the rest of the world when we have to keep hearing certain Americans repeat over and over and over and over and over that "the best riders in the world" are riding the AMA MX series. Just let it go Mr. Weigandt, please. Thanks to RV, even the American public has now clearly seen the level of the riders in the Grand Prix series. It just makes the Americans look desperate to hear such comments.
I just shake my head at some of the rubbish i read on here!

We can settle this like Gentlemen, the MXGP claims " the best riders in the World" and AMA " best riders in the Universe "

btw, don't take it so personal (just a little tease and bounce game) at least that's how I see it Smile Wink

I think he's drunk. Or maybe he's just offended that TripleDigit pointed out RV's moto scores from this year? Can't think of any other reason why he would want to shit on all Brits when there has only been a handful of them posting in here and nothing really out-of-line being said by any of them.

Not drunk, just sick of how things turn around here.. everyone was so pumped on RV going over there and then he gets hurt and now comes the endless flow of stupid threads and shit slinging.

I didn't even read the whole thread, but they usually all go the same.

Apologies if I caught guys up in my attempts at humor that didn't deserve it... now I'm back to watching the GP from France on late night CBSSNCool

I have noticed that gets done a lot on here , you can have 5 or 6 page threads making various points , yet people just read the last comment , then fill in the blanks as they see fit , before making some shit hole post themselves ,

You know , like you just did

You Guys forget the Dirt Bike Sales in the States and in Europe. You have many many more Dirt Bikers, Tracks and Support as a Small Country like France or Germany. 2 Top Riders of 3000 are better than 2 Top Riders of 60.000 Riders in the States as example.
