First off I fixed the leak by using some high temp silicon on the oil pump cover and the little screw screw on the side case. I found oil dripping from that as well...
I installed the new FMF system on the bike which has a great weight savings but do I feel a difference in power? I'm not sure...
Raced Washougal on Saturday and used the starting map, man it's really hard to activate the switch under the throttle! Harsh location, but i guess you will never bump it by mistake.
In previous posts I said I liked the suspension and forks weren't bad... I retract that statement to say that at some So Cal tracks they are not bad. But once I rode the harsh square edge bumps in Oregon, the braking bumps, chop, ect, that harsh initial stroke was clear as day... I hope to drop them off for a revalve this week.
All and all the bike is still amazing, it's stuck to the inside ruts here like glue! Way more power then my old bike and amazing how stable it is on all the places I have rode so far!

Can anyone notice a difference between the map options? I was using stock and number 2(agressive), not sure if I felt anything?
Joe in regards to your suspension give slipdog a call….he is in the east Sacramento area, about 9 miles from Hangtown.
There is going to be a KTM ride day in a few weeks at a track here, can't wait to ride one of the new bikes!!!
I was also able to swap the launch control switch to the clutch side without removing the radiators. If you unbolt the switch from your front brake then follow it all the way back(Remove your gas tank), lift the ECU, you come to these 2 plugs.
Undo the 2 plugs, cut a few zip ties and it slides right between the frame and the radiators. I mounted the switch to the clutch side and worked the wire down the riders left side along the clutch cable. A few zip ties later, we are back in biz. Took about 15-20mins..
Here's a couple pics of me riding my new 450 for your viewing pleasure
Pit Row
With the running off the wire for the switch, I got caught with the length when I ran it under the clutch master cylinder with the kill switch wire to keep it tidy and cable tied it along with that and the main loom all the way to back to the plugs under the battery, then realising it was an inch short. Always the way right, wishing you had an extra inch? Ended up going over the top and not looped with the kill wire, but not as tidy. That's where I lost time. And cable ties.
The kid thought he was getting a standard model, then they brought him out back. He was speechless. Imagine that, regular 16 yo kid with an FE!
Ride Engineering, the industry leader in high quality racing accessories, introduces a new KTM Performance Link for the 2015.5 Factory Edition.
This product was designed to reduce the 'high rear end sensation' some test riders complained about when riding the all new 250 and 450SXF Factory Edition. The new 1.3mm longer arm will lower the back end approximately 7mm and help keep the bike balanced off jump faces and over rough terrain.
High speed straights and rough braking bumps are no match for the Ride Engineering Performance Link. By extending the link arm, the new KTM's are able to track better in the whoops and still feel planted through choppy braking bumps. You'll notice better handling characteristics in off-camber and bermless corners too.
What's better than 1 Game Changer? 3 Game Changers :-) That's mine and my buddy Jack's and his other brand new FE450 under the cover in the box van behind our bikes.
