I think it's funny when Jacob Hayes isn't getting that much shit for the move. I think it's a horrible move and in worst case scenario a career ending takeout on Regal. Regal is lucky to escape that without having his leg in 1000 pieces.

What if Hayes would have been Reed, Alessi or JS7? I know Arenacross is way more physical than Supercross but the move was stupid and really dangerous.

Go Kyle Regal!

He almost put him face first into the wall at the start.
Yeah fading regal in to the wall right off the bat was kind of a shitty move.
Yeah I would have been more upset about the wall than the slam.

I'll never be a Hayes fan, my intro to arenacross was his mother cutting my family in line to the track walk right before the entrance after sitting in line with my four kids for over an hour. So I told her to get lost, and her and her daughter were very offended, as if just jumping in line wasn't rude, I was rude for calling her out. After that she tried to talk to me and was telling me about her son, said my kids were cute, and right when we stopped talking I overheard her say to her daughter something along the lines of, "that's how to turn the other cheek". Now after seeing the way this kid races, I think douche runs in their family.

Championship on the line for those dudes. But it looked fairly agressive even at the start with almost being pushed into the wall. I get that arena cross is more agressive and more contact but that take-out was just stupid imo. Should've just raced like men and duked it out on speed and technicall skill not silly take-out drama. But i guess that whats AX is about ...

race your best and try to beat your competition, earn your victory.

winning a championship by taking someone out is chicken shit, it speaks volumes about anyone who would condone that.

2 things to note, 1st, Hayes was just as fast as Regal if not faster, they both had their sections. Hayes won the 1st main so to win it ALL, he just needed to follow Regal around the track in the 2nd. He had the whole main event to see what played out, why not wait till the last few laps as both had most of the field covered. 2nd, Regal's family/friends were sitting a few rows behind me. They didn't bitch/moan or say one bad thing after the "takeout", just as Regal put his head down and kept going, so did they. I would say Regal's previous experience in SX and pressure situations made the difference here.

That go pro is awsome I love Hayes screaming nooooooo noooooooo or whatever he was yelling. . Hayes is a total idiot for doing what he did. That being said I'm sure his time will come to win the title. I was really looking forwards to seeing him race Vegas sx to see what he could do there

So true in many occassions. My friend worked as a teacher for "special care" kids, and he said that very often after seeing their parents it was pretty clear why the kids were like they were.

Totally idiotic move by Hayes after the start. He seemed to get pretty good and clear start, but all he cared was to put Regal to the wall. Racing can be rough & tough, but that went way over the line. Like in ice hockey when you drop your gloves and start punching the other to the face. It's the part of the game, yeah right.....

Absolutely true that. Nice to see that the idea of sportsmanship is still alive somewhere.

The wall and the t-bone both could have seriously injured Kyle, both were complete chump moves.

Taking out a competitor for the championship? Yeah, save that for the last lap if you need to, and no need to put the guy in the hospital.

Hayes is an idiot. He didn't even have to pass Regal.

That was straight chicken shit, no other way to put it. There's a difference between a takeout during a race and trying to straight up slam someone two corners in, not to mention put someone in a wall with and entire pack of bikes behind you! Championship or not, that would have spilled over into the parking lot for me, he got exactly what he deserved when his bike let go.
