I decided I had Way too much money sitting around making 1.5% interest. So I polished up 5 old beaters

1.5% in savings, that's pretty good. Most I've been seeing for regular savings is around 0.75%, might as well spend it!

I'm going to be doing a 78 RM125C this summer, yz. I have a 76 tank and fenders and like that look better.

When you did your "long leg" 125 up there, you used a 79, didn't you? Was fitting the tank much of a problem?

I started with a very clean low hour original 77 RM 125B and adapted 80 125T suspension front and rear, it was a fairly easy swap, just had to shave a few thousandths off the 80 steering stem to accept the 77 bearings

Now everyone of those is a justifiable expense.Wink

I see the trailer pic was taken at Diamond Dons, did you partake in the mudfest activities?

I was hoping to meet you at Diamonds Newman but I spent the whole weekend stuck in the mud in the back 40. I restored all 5 bikes in less than a year, I started the 76 AW Maico last May and things Snowballed as quickly as my savings account avalanched

I was going to get 1 or 2 dirty but when I heard the afternoon forecast of strong storms high wind and possible large hail for Sunday afternoon I got the Flock out of there as soon as I could Sunday morning, I was beat down from the 3 previous nights storms

Wow! Five bikes in one year. What an awesome challenge. And they look great too.Smile

The 77, 80 hybrid RM is my favorite with the 82 RM a close second...though the Husky looks badass as well.Silly

But I have to ask...what kind of front fender you running on the 82 RM125? I'm just not feelin it.Blush

The fender on the 82 is a later model RM, 88 I think not sure, I just didn't like the duckbill platypus 82 style, thought they were really ugly.

Damn. Very nice.
My bucket list is to find an 82 RM125 and restore it. They don't come up for sale very often though, especially anywhere close to where I live.
