Okay well maybe I will just get a new pad needle and get it setup. When I reassembled it, the pads were moving around and it seemed like the calliper wasn't all that secure sitting on the mounting posts but I have never really assessed a motocross brake calliper on its' own. Like I said I am a mountain biker, this is new to me but learning a lot!

Any big advantages using the TI needle besides the weight saving?

Are you talkin about piece #11 in your diagram above? Personally, I'd just get a new steel one.
Yup #11, Shipping is a bitch for me I will likely just grab one from the dealer.

I also took your advice with Kx-F front calliper - looking good, thanks for that!

I swear you're in a parallel universe to me... I'm having issues with my front brake also, to the point where I may aswell upgrade the whole system. What's compatible?

I didn't read all 6 pages but do you have what's called a caliper retainer and a pad support in your caliper, some people discard them when replacing brake pads, those items should keep your brake pads from floating

I assume you are referring to the pieces I have circled below, I do not have these! These are $70 from the dealer, that's why I was just thinking I may buy a used calliper with these.

I put a 2006 RM125 front brake assembly on my 2002 rebuild. Bolted right up and has the direct line like the RMZ's.

Yea, those things are expensive! I was having the same issue with mine and once I bled the brakes with the new pads, I didn't notice the play in the pads as much.

I have a 2008 kx 250f front calliper on mine, bolt up no problem - now I just need to get it bled! Getting syringes going tomorrow and hopefully getting that sucker to prime!

No number 4 and the part below number 6 which has no part number, I believe these guys are talking about the front brake but those parts are still relevant, I have changed many brake pads to find those parts discarded, you need them, as people get confused as to which way they go and simply don't use them

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Thanks bud! My fiance essentially said the same thing. She asked which series I was leading! I was going to cut mine too but decided against it when I bolted them up.

Itt's an 02, with forks the forks off an 06 and RMZ triple clamps. I have an 06 shock, but I need to get a linkage from the 06 to see if the shock will work.

Hmm interesting, it looks deadly man!

Question, how did you route your front number plate zip/wrap around/ whatever its called? With a cross bar style bar it seems awkwardly long or too short to wrap around the bar and clip back in? I assume I will be gearing up a zip tie dewey of some sort.

I cut a majority of it off because it wasn't long enough to go all the way around. Then drilled a hole and put a zip tie around it,

i just use the EBC plates, they come with a new pin also.

the backing plates are usually attached to the OEM pads and the whole lot comes out.

some nice bikes in this thread

also, i dont see the point in cutting up the side number plates.

Since KTM started running those small side plates a few years ago, ive noticed a few more pro riders getting legs caught up in the back wheel

all the new RMZs come with a fat bar, so the RMZ front number plate convo works well with the same bar setup.

That's sweet as, dude. They're one of the best looking bikes out there, so as you've proven you can turn an ancient bike into an absolute stunner!

I ended up cutting my side plates, didn't really do a very good job. Kinda wish I just left them as they were before

That looks good from the pics man! I am too close to being done and getting ready to rip I don't want to be bothered with it right now.

What did you use?

I used a hot exacto knife and it cut through really easy, I just should been more careful.

Won't be long now! I got the rear brake all set up last night and I think I've figured out how to get the front functioning. Once the rads show up and the front brake done I will be ready to get this thing out for a ride!

Really stoked on the anodized fittings!

Haha waiting to make sure the new rads and everything fit up first, I'd hate to apply graphics and have another fitment issue or the plastics be defective.

I have had so many dumb issues, I am just being paranoid and safe at this point!

Sorry I want to see them on too! A photography buddy of mine is coming over to do a photoshoot next week when the bike is done - should be good stuff!

WOW I can't believe all these number 6 Suzukis. I AM A NUMBER 6 lol. Suzuki rm125 too. My family has been number 6 since even before I was born. I usually don't see that many number 6 riders, but they all seem to be here. And Suzuki too, what a coincidence.
