My ol man has been cleaning out his barn.. He worked at a Yamaha shop in 1974 that was into racing. He's got a lot of mismatched parts that they tested mx and ice racing with.

That's some good stuff you have there. The early YZ's were as trick as you could get, even that skidplate was swiss cheesed from the factory.

The right side shift clutch cover is an interesting piece

If you decide you don't need those extra fork lowers, keep me in mind. I have a use for them. As for your upper legs all rusted up you can use uppers from the 75 model MX250 or 400's. More readily available and also 34mm if I am not mistaken.

I totally missed the right side shift case. I know why it was made but what would it have come from to fit that bike?

Michigan, ice racing, RH shift conversion was common on Yamaha's for roundy round racing.

The black clutch cover is a magnesium 1975 YZ cover and the lower one is the stock 74 one with the blind plug removed for the shift shaft . Call me if you need parts or info on these bikes I have 4 and have had 20+ over the course of 8-10 yrs. Tom 440 668 4065
