That was pretty cool, good race. 34 races and the points came down to the final lap. Pretty awesome. Congrats to the #2 BB&T "Conservative Clint Bowyer"

Bowyer winning the NNS has about as much meaning as RC winning the A class at LL's. Bowyer is a cup driver cherry picking the minor leagues. Whats so cool about that??

I agree... I like clint he is one of the guys i like to see do good... But i dont like that these full time cup drivers are the ones winning that series.. The last guy to be a "nationwide only driver" to win the championship was truex, and clint was 2nd place that year.. since then a fulltime cup guy has won the championship every year.. Yeah the cup guys make the series bigger, but the guys that only run nationwide should be winning..

The reason I ask, is because it would be cool to here the insight on here from a brother on what a cool achievement for a bunch of original mxers. I had read a blog somewhere along the line about Andy loving moto as a kid just like Clint, but Clint decided to go into cars and Andy stayed with bikes. Andy now works for RacerX and Clint is 2008 Nascar Nationwide Champion.

Congrats to Clint but Cup regulars shouldn't be racing for NNS titles. They should mix up the schedule so it isn't possible.

Agreed!!!! I like Clint, how can you not, dude has a dirt go kart at his pad. Plenty of NASCAR guys used to ride bikes. I think of it as JBS dropping down to to race the 250 class, cool he won, but lets face it dude is a cup driver, and yes that means he is better than the Nationwide drivers.

Robert you are in the balls deep mode again thinking you are somebody important since all you do is post 24 7 on message boards. Like I told you in the past you are the biggest loser on the moto forums. Message boards are your life. Sad but true. Get over yourself kid.

Having big name Drivers in the NNS series puts butts in he seats and sponsor stickers on the doors. It is what it is, and it isn't going to change.

Good for Clint, and the entire Bowyer Family.

I agree to a point but the schedule could be adjusted enough to take the cup regulars out the points race. Martin, Earnhardt Sr. and several others raced the Bush series for years on combo weekends but it would break off on some weekends to smaller tracks and the cup guys couldn't make the Busch races.

Anyhow thats a NASCAR policy issue and has nothing to do with Clint, congrats to Clint and RCR.

Jimmy Johnson raced MX also, they showed a short clip and JJ spoke of his MX racing experience. 3 straight titles is tough to do.

Hey, guys, thanks for the nice words. It was an amazing weekend in Miami.

Saturday was gnarly. Never felt anything close to good until the white flag came out.

Two motocrossers won both of the premiere NASCAR titles.

As far as cherry picking - find me a larger motorsports series in America that is more prestigious and difficult to win than the Nationwide series.

It is the second largest championship in America. The only thing bigger in the world of motorsports is Formula 1, Moto GP and Sprint Cup.

Minor leagues? Cherry picking? Get a clue, folks.

Clint has only been driving on asphalt for 4 years...period.

It was awesome. First time the whole family has been there to see him hold a trophy over his head.

Thanks again for all of the nice words!

Now...bring me Anaheim 1.

Cool! My son and I cheer for Clint every weekend and are happy he won the title.

4 yrs on asphalt, that is amazing to win it considering some of those guys have been doing it their whole lives. That's like JohnDowd#16 coming out and winning the East 125 title out of nowhere.

Thanks for the insight Andy!
