RV around 10th overall after a few minor get offs and mistakes. Not a good track for the inexperienced with the track to make up positions especially those who push it and charge into further mistakes.

This is not Cairolis type of track. It's one of the worst tracks for him this year. It's hard for him to find good traction without the torque of a 450.

He will probably do good, but not great. In Valkenswaard the race after this one I expect him to collect his first win of the year.

Without injuries to Desalle and Nagl he won't walk away with this at all. He may very well win, but it will be a fight all the way and hopefully tight in the points right until the final. If RV can stay healthy he can stay with them too.

I think Desalle and Nagl are going a bit faster than last year. Cairoli isn't getting any faster, but it's hard to bet against him over a full championship because he is so consistent. He has always been the fastest of them by a small margin before, but I'm not so sure anymore starting from 2014. I think he expects to win it by consistency on the hardpack tracks and wins in the sand.

If he gets two holeshots this weekend he will probably win. Without holeshots I can't see it happening.

BTW..what about the weather this weekend? does anyone know

Cloudy but a temperature around 20°C, hardly rain, probably none. Looks good. Right now it's sunny overthere with a 27°C. Perfect conditions.

While you are busy stroking RV , Max Nagl has won 2 out of the first 3 GP's and won 1 and tied on points for the win of the last 2 of last year... he is the form guy here , and most of the RV fanboys here didn't even know he existed till Qatar.


Its not biased , its opinion based on experience.

How is it biased? For the record, I haven't been too wide of the mark on most of my predictions this year, but that is besides the point. I have been watching and attending GP's for years and my predictions are based on what I have seen in that time. For some reason you call it 'biased speculation' (funnily enough none of the guys who predicted an RV win were accused of that) I call it an educated guess. I don't think RV will be on the podium in attention, that's just my opinion, he is an unknown on this kind of terrain so it's more than likely he could surprise me, it's also more than likely that he won't.

Both fields are stacked , but there are a fair few 'pay to play' rides in there ...

I've read an interview with Jake were he said he would be riding from this weekend on. Doesn't expect much, just wants to get some bike time and slowly getting back on race pace.

Last week I saw a short video of Mel moving his fingers, but he still has a long way to go. If he returns this season (what I personally doubt) it will be very late into the season.

Nathan Watson had a surgery on his wrist, doctors predict a recovery of 4 to 6 weeks. Nathan hopes to be back at the GP in Matterley Basin.

He's already back on the bike, he started riding yesterday in Italy with the team. It's not certain that he will return to racing this weekend, but it's definitely a possibility. After originally setting the British GP as a potential return date, that is great news. Jake Nicholls should return this weekend too which is more good news for us Brits

He got 22nd there last year. RV doesn't have anyone to practice with.

I heard from a reliable source last year that most if not all of the guys on the HSF logistics team were paying close to that. Wouldn't surprise me if there were several others paying in other teams

He will probably do good, but not great. In Valkenswaard the race after this one I expect him to collect his first win of the year.

Without injuries to Desalle and Nagl he won't walk away with this at all. He may very well win, but it will be a fight all the way and hopefully tight in the points right until the final. If RV can stay healthy he can stay with them too.

I think Desalle and Nagl are going a bit faster than last year. Cairoli isn't getting any faster, but it's hard to bet against him over a full championship because he is so consistent. He has always been the fastest of them by a small margin before, but I'm not so sure anymore starting from 2014. I think he expects to win it by consistency on the hardpack tracks and wins in the sand.

If he gets two holeshots this weekend he will probably win. Without holeshots I can't see it happening.

BTW..what about the weather this weekend? does anyone know
Redbull KTM must be pumped now. Cairoli in usual fashion doing what he is known for, fast , steady tractor pulling towards another title. Ryan Dungey clinched it over in USA in their first ever 450 sx championship, Musquin on the way to take another 250F sx championship since Roczen, . Pit Beirer and the whole KTM austria have done something amazing during the last 7-8 years. From nothing to be the manufacture to beat.
