Looked at the new lineup. Wow. Thinking a KTM 505 XC may just be in my future. They also had the new Husaberg there. Without riding it, I would say seriously what a good looking machine. Its pretty much KTM. The guy that owned the shop told me that Husaberg is now the testing ground for KTM. It would be neat to see that technology go forward.

The exhaust was fully covered by the frame, EFI and the subframe was lightweight plastic.
A lot of the hard parts were imprinted KTM, it will be interesting to see if 2010 this is in orange.
They had a Street KTM 1100 that looked just as sweet as could be. Looked like something that could generate speeding tickets as quick as you could shift. Very adjustable. I was impressed to see how the height and suspension was so easily changed. It did have a linkage on it, similar to the old Kawasaki Uni Track

Or the 530 Dual Sport, or whatever cc they call it now.
I don't have any problems with my boy's 65 but of course I have not needed any parts since I have bought it - that thing is stone reliable.
What you ride doughboy?

Tiki, where did you go, to Mammoth?
Too soon to tell.
I speak from past bad experiences with KTM..
How many have you owned?
My point exactly.
No need in telling you my issues since i done waste
my time arguing with Morons!!
Actually, I do have more fun "working" on my KTM since I spend more time "working" on my turns, jumps, braking etc. versus the time I spent working on my blue 4-stroke.
I have well over 100 RACE hours and double that for practice hours in the pro/expert level, including 2 enduro cross races and the last man standing and have yet to have a problem. In fact I just changed the stock piston, which was good enough to sell.
Chip is one hell of a good guy.

ALL manufacturers have lemons.
You ever ridden a 97 CR250 or a 92/3 RM 250 or a 07 YZ 450? The first CRF 450's weren't exactly the picture of mechanical nirvana either.
I rode a KTM 360 for a while and it was bullet proof and crazy fast, all it cost me was brake pads!!
I am starting my third season on my '07 YZ450 and other than changing suspension fluids and some fork seals, I haven't done other than oil and filters. I have alternated back and forth with Hondas over the many years thatI have raced motocross.
i am very happy with it and plan to see what Yamaha offers for '10.

Munn is definitely top notch. I have ordered parts from them several times.
2008 or newer 450, short stroke motor. Awesome motor.
The amusing part of your post was the list provided. I had a 92 RM250- good fun bike, and it was a better trail bike imo than my current 03 CR250. One of my buddies had a 97 CR250, was a great bike for him; he now owns a 03 CRF450 that's been a great bike.
Cheap. 34.4 hours.
