Should have stayed on the KTM, crash, get up, press button, finish race. It's only a matter of time before the Japs wake up and fit e starts to the MX bikes, farcical to spend all that dosh chasing titles and have their best riders trying to find neutral and attempting to star a hot bike with tired legs while watching all the slower riders cruise past. All because they dropped it. Cost the world champ dear.

Bloody stupid to be racing motocross in that heat. Sitting on a hot bike in full MX gear in 100 deg and 100 humidity is just plain daft. At least do it in the evening.

It can only lead to problems/injury. It's not like they have any choice, they are paid to do it. All so the fat prick gets 20 skinny hoes to slide all over him while he counts the cash.

Proper twat.

I passed out from heat exhaustion waiting on Ben Harper, Quest Love, and John Paul Jones to play superjam. When I came to, I punched my good friend and the medic carrying me out of the crowd. And it cost them the front of the crowd at the show.

But it's pretty scary stuff. What's their rules on IV's between motos? I'm sure he probably got one.

I'm no fan of the FIM, but some of you need to re-read the second to last sentence in ML's post:

"Later, when he was informed by the track doctor and a FIM official that he would not be allowed to start the second moto, he became violent and struck both of them in the face."

Are you guys really faulting the FIM for being pissed at a rider for hitting two of their folks in the face? It's not like they slapped him conscious again at the finish line and told him he was done while he was still loopy.
Informed by the track doctor should of been enough. You don't just go punching officials especially when they had his health in mind.

If that was RV that punched an official for not letting him race he would be elevated to God like status. At least the guy is a competitor at heart

A lot guys I see in here saying all sorts of things.....the first thing that popped into my head was " I hope that dude is going to be ok ". Heat exhaustion is scary stuff man.....like really scary stuff. Not only can you die from it , but you can cause yourself permanent damage , body and mind both. If he got to the point of passing out.....that is a close call! Glad they made him sit the 2nd moto out! In his best interest!
