I have had them on this year for the clay based track I am riding. Wears well, good grip and i dont feel it squirming around. One of my buddies ran the OTSFF Suzuki deal in CAnada & hooked me up with a set. I would buy them again...

I bought pirelli tires once. Expensive and fast wearing. That is about all I could tell you. Bridgestone and Dunlop is about all I run now.

A friend of mine swears by them. He says it is the best front tire he has used. He uses them here at GH. Wants me to try them vs my 756 that I like. Can't say any more than that.

Is it me or does the 756 front seem to make the bike turn better?

I like the 756. He swears the Pirelli is better. The 756 for me sticks better in turns. Can't compare it with the pirelli since I have not used one.

I used Pirelli's and liked their hook up when new but they wore to fast for my liking.

I've since become a Bridgestone guy myself. The price isn't too bad and, for my riding style anyway, they give me good feel even when they do start to wear.

I have used both the 756 and the Pirelli Scorpion at the following tracks in SoCal - Glen Helen, Perris, Starwest, Cahuilla, Milestone, Racetown, Competitive Edge and I-5 MX.

In every condition the Pirelli's smoked the 756's. Not only did I feel the Pirelli was a better tire, it lasted way longer than the 756 too.

The Pirelli is as close to a factory tire that you will get and is comparable to 756RR.

You have to make sure you get the Scorpion MXMH (MidHard) not the Scorpion MX Extra, if you are going to race with it. The "Extra" looks exactly like the MXMH, but it is made out of a firmer rubber compound. This makes it last longer than the MXMH, but the "Extra" does not have the gription of the MXMH on hard pack.

Good luck

Most of the riders i worked with always liked the Bridgestone M-22's and 23's. But I guess that's just old school.

Good info J48, I can only compare to Bridgestone M22, 402, some of the stock Dunlops and Maxxis. I will have to try them.

x2-

I have a set of 756's on my bike but I'd like to compare them to other brands

Someone else suggested the Maxxis IT, but I'll try Pirelli first

My favorite race day tire is Michelin MS3. The one on the back was a little to wore for my liking so I had the Pirelli laying around I had bought back during the summer and decided to try it out.

Going to be hard to beat that Michelin, that tire kicks ass.

I ran the 756rr a few years back and was amazed at how much better the traction and hook up was. However, I got a flat each time I rode on them. Guess they were just too soft.

I run the mXtra on the front and the mid/soft on the rear and like them. Most of the tracks I ride are soft to intermediate. If the dirt get hard in your area you might want to run the mid hards both ends. The mXtra is a good do it all tire, but as someone said earlier, when the dirt gets shiny and blue grooved the mid hard is better. I was never really fond of the 756s except for the 756RR front. I couldn't get much life from them.

Ummmmm, ok and now for something completely diffferent....

I ran the mid softs all year long, wore like iron basically when the track is fresh (like any tire should), but chunks and wears fast on hard pack. The front end skates bad on harder dirt, not deep loam. I switched back to my lovely 756's and they are great. The wear much faster, but still offer better lean angles.

A few guys I ride with (Adam and Aaron Gulley, Pro SX riders and national hopefuls) said they prefer super wore out dunlops to new pirellis because of the grip they don't offer. Just stating my opinion.

i like em when brand new. but they wear super fast, and once the wear starts, the knobbys go flyin.
i myself found a new love for bridgestones
