Come check out Scramblecross where we are bringing back old school MX with no triples, whoops or large berms...just good 'ol natural terrain MX. We currently have 10 events scheduled near Dallas/Fort Worth to get the formula perfected with plans to expand.

Looks like a great idea. I checked out the website and it would be a great day out. Track layouts look like a lot of fun and how i remember tracks being layed out when i was a kid. However, whoops are part of a natural terrain track and form naturally and can end up huge by the end of the day depending on soil type. Good luck!!

I hope this series is an overwhelming success and this form of racing spreads. Would love to have some of that in my neck of the woods.

I like the premise a lot but why not just ribbon off or mark the track and let it develop naturally? Why grade it? It looks like a lot rock was exposed by blading it.

Now only true couch potatoes will have a reason to stay home eating chips and drinking beer. Everyone else that's been couch bound because they've tired of their local MX track resembling a SX track now has a great reason IMHO to dust off their scoot.

My first race was actually a scrambles race in Cedarville Ohio in 1971 on a sponsored 185cc two stroke Suzuki. First MX race was 2/20/72. MX tracks in Ohio and Indiana in the early 70s frequently had enduro type mudholes and water crossings but we took it all in stride. We also didn't stay home when it rained....if we had we would have only raced about half of what we did.

I would completely be down with this. Jumps are cool, but natural terrain makes for some gnarly racing.
