Sean Hackley?

Edited Date/Time 2/22/2015 1:44am
An earlier race was red flagged for a Sean Hackley crash. Does anyone know if he's ok? The racecast hasn't said sh*t about it. Hope he's ok.

They said on air that he was giving a thumbs up when being taken out of the stadium so thats a plus, but we arent aware of his injuries if he has any.

Let's keep this at the top, very concerned for one of our local studs, would love to hear that he is going to make a full recovery from whatever injuries he may have

I missed Sean's crash, but he didn't move at all when he was on the ground. Hope he's going to be alright.

I'd also like any updates on Sean. I didn't see his crash but I saw his bike getting wheeled off and he was not moving. They took a good amount of time getting him onto the board and off the track which isn't good. I'm hoping he will be okay.

From Shand Garcia's Facebook page:

"Please keep Sean Hackley in your thoughts and prayers, Friends. He went down tonight at the Dallas Supercross and has some bleeding on his brain. No spinal injuries, broken bones or internal injuries, but definitely needs some positive vibes. Sean Hackley has been a great racer and friend to so many for the past 15 years. He is at JPS in Ft. Worth."

I just saw that after the re-start, Mitch finished the main. Sean didn't move. Not one bit. Do you know if he is OK? I'm sure the #52 is sore this morning...

Prayers sent for Sean's family and friends for a speedy recovery. Sean has always been a very nice young man and we have watched him grow up and race around the Texas area over the years and I'm always pulling for him.
It was nice to see him at the Texas State Championship at Freestone sporting The 452 in Honor of James Marshall another great Texas rider.
I chat with Sean every chance I get and he is always a stand up guy.
Sean and I chatting on the line at Freestone late last year at TSC.
If you notice the vertical scar in front of my ear is from a surgery because I had a brain bleed and I now have a partial Prosthetic skull about 4" X 3" oval but I was back on the bike within 6-8 months. My Brain bleed wasn't Moto related but all my other scars are.

Well I am glad to hear that some of my fears did not come to pass, the way that bike hit hackley's helmet and snapped his head back I thought for sure it broke his neck.

I know brain bleeding is no small issue though, still praying that he will make a full and quick recovery

Didn't he also have a nasty injury right after turning pro? Thought he had something happened that slowed his progress

I've followed him a bit since I ended up with one of his old bikes years ago. Seems as though he is constantly battling injury and crashes. You've got to admire his tenacity and spirit. Hope and pray for a full and speedy recovery.

He spent a month in a coma.
