You guys are hilarious.

Roczen is in the lead at this point, and everyone knows that once he gets to the front he is hard to catch. The field is incredibly tight, it's not like you can make up 5 or 10 seconds. Sure Eli was fast but these days, being the fastest means you are a tenth faster than the next guy.

So with Rozen and Dungey both ahead of hin you say that Eli was a dumbass for being aggressive and trying to get to the front as early as he can?

Yet when Dungey takes his time making passes, you guys bitch about him not being aggressive enough in the early part of the race and letting RV or Roczen or whoever it's been the last 4 years get a comfortable lead.

Nope, it was a dumbass move forcing a pass that took him out of the race on the first lap when he had good track position... How much time did he make up? He was definitely in a position to win!

I don't get what's hard to understand... You even rightly said he would have had the inside if he just backed off 5% through there he still would have held the inside the whole way around the right, while Chad is right on Dungey into the next left... pretty much ideal to cut down there too. Instead he's on the dirt.

As for Dungey, not that I bag on him, but often takes 10 plus laps to make a single pass, sometimes he doesn't even get it done.... Somewhere in between ending up on the ground on the first lap and being stuck behind a guy an entire moto is a better time to make a pass... But ending up on the ground is never ideal.

it wasnt a dumbass move, if he hadnt of got Reed's footpeg (which we all have to say is damn unlucky) then he would of been up front with TC and KR...so lets stop abusing the fact that Eli crashed...he actually made a clean pass and he was damn unlucky....do you guys not want these guys racing hard and not trying to pass????? I mean really?

As for Reed's comments, well good thing he didnt get taken down by footpeggate then lord knows what he (and his fans) might be saying

He said on Pulp MX show last week "I'm over Supercross" maybe that has something to do with it. I was bummed Eli caught his foot peg and went down, he was looking very fast.

Ok, so despite the fact he ended up on the ground, it cost him a chance at the win, track position and time, and probably if he'd waited another 5 seconds he'd have had the pass/position back, it was an excellent move.

Back to this peg issue, supposedly titanium is extremely hard to work with. It eats cutting tools and can catch on fire.

Well I really want to see the Reed-Grant Incident, so I can have the final say on it, but it looks like that's no longer possible.

As for Tomac, I was gonna defend his pass as Not Dumb, but it probably would've been less dumb to cut down early, the way Stew do. He just got a little wild and put his rear wheel into Reed's. Remember when Stewart's boot got sucked into RV's wheel and it put him down? Ha. This sport is nuts.

In the last four rounds, three riders, Canard, Roczen and Tomac, have made three perhaps unwise pass attempts on Chad Reed and ended up on the ground. What is going on?? He's a fairly easy pass for these guys at this point, but they just can't make it happen. It's like they see the old guy and they get excited and want to blow his fenders off.

At least none has been as dumb as Stewart's WTF pass/takeout on McGrath in '06, without which he would have a 3rd SX title, only one less than Ryan Villopoto and Ricky Carmichael.

We can get into semantics, or we could just say that Reed has been less than respectful to his fellow competitors on multiple occasions. I don't think there's anybody out there with the same entitled attitude as Reed.
What's your problem? Why are you making such an effort to tell everyone you don't like Reed? What is your point?

Looks like Eli slide out by trying to go too tight and avoid Reed and his rear tyre drifted into Reed rear tyre which then spun the bike arround ?

Can someone please tell reed that the guy he called a dumbass has a win this season. The guy he said will never win a title has 2 wins, while chad struggles to get on the box. I can't wait till his cocky ass retires hopefully next year

You simply cannot have watched the video and still think this. I refuse to believe that someone wears such Reed-tinted glasses. The only reason Eli would have backed out of that pass is if he could see the future. Watch the clip again. If Eli doesn't catch Reed's foot peg (which is a totally freak incident that there was no way for Eli to predict), he has the pass made and he's moving forward towards the lead.

It blows my mind that you don't see that.

I was a bit surprised by the "Dumbass" comment too.

With nothing really to lose I think Chad is really embracing the "vocal veteran" of the class role. He seems to be eager to say something provocative.
