man,i just can not believe his fortitude.
he's going through cycles of inflammation .says he is doing planks to build core. not doing the normal gym training others are doing.
cant see it being a cure all.
Regarding your use of the word "similar" street bikes are similar to MX bikes but there not the same thing either. Only a Vax D table exerts negative Gs as the spine is contracting after the traction cycle. This is particularly helpful with people with herniated discs as the negative Gs helps pull the material back into the disc. It's all explained on the website.
zippy895-Can you direct me to a link for the traction table for the neck please? I had heard Vax D was working on one but have yet to see it Thanks.
The Vax D is the only thing that kept me from having surgery for the herniated L5S1. My roommate would drive me up to West LA in my car while I was stretched out in the back seat. Three Vax D treatments a week for three weeks got the pain where I could manage it. My MD sent me to an ortho for an assessment and of course he wanted to remove the disc. My MD didn't want me to, I didn't want to so I didn't.
Bowers is doing the right thing building up his core. Tumeric is a Godsend when it comes to reducing inflammation. I just restocked last evening at the health food store.
Given your med intake you have to be dehydrated which makes us even more stiff which leads to more pain. Drink as much fluids (not alcohol) and try to move if you can. Best of luck with rehab. Your moto family here at Vital MX is behind you.

If you can drink a glass of water as soon as you get up, one before each meal and wherever you can sneak another glass of water in. Hope your surgery date comes up sooner rather than later and if you can seek acupuncture like someone else suggested. Big fan.
I wish you the best and know what your going thru. Get help before its to late. There is special treatment centers that focus on severe pain. I almost went to one but got approved for the ProDisc and it changed my life. Look up the Lumbar ProDisc replacement!!
I have been through some hard (dark) times when my 12 YO had cancer.
pm hours are the tough times.body starts to go into relax mode and pain receptor's are making you aware of body issues.
never did this, but old boss once went under hypnosis to stop smoking.it worked.maybe a pain block hypnosis?
its funny that ,when you have issues like your back, you hurt more if you do to little and hurt if you do too much.maybe that's why cycling is my new outlet.low impact, heart rate can jump when nessesary, closest to mx bike.but the motor is you.
I swear, trying to do rehab stretching after 2nd back surgery.i couldn't bend as well as after 1st surgery.so I jumped on a lifecycle stationary bike, and the body loosened up those parts for me to stretch without pain.
