Comparing Reed with Hanny? Reed races in the 450f class in both SX and MX. Reed has shown that he can find the speed to win in the premium class. Reed has won MX and SX Championships on a 450f bike. Hanny broke his collarbone and quit MX.

It does not pussify it, the riders can still do whatever they feel is appropriate, but it does ensure that if u do the crime that you actually pay for it....

instead of a black flag (which is circumstantial), why not have a flag where the rider must pit until the last rider has gone past. Then the offending rider is then allowed to continue the race? i dont believe riders should lose points for a bit of bar tapping, it makes it entertaining for the spectators as long as the moves are blatant (ie, t-boning). just an idea anyway.

Because guys will start taking each other out just to win or take them out of contention for the series, there has to be some penalties, the point is to make it enough penalty so no one wants to do it.
