Man oh man he can't handle the power. He tries to ride that thing pinned like a 250. Bigger guys do better on that bike. He can't control that Yamaha

I guess I expected Barcia to be the next big thing when he went pro..I notice a lot of riders do real well the first pro year..then they lose steam..seems top ten is good enough..what up with that?

Seems like it too early in the season to jump to conclusions ? If things are the same by say round 5 or 6 , Then we know there is trouble.

I saw at one point when Peick was battling with Dungey, thinking over the lil dragon back before a right handed, and he grabbed a handful as well and brought the front wheel a lil high and was on the brakes hard to get front end down. Matter of fact, saw few times Peick was trying to save it mid air this past race.

Thought of the day: Does Weston straighten the bike out in mid air to correct mistakes, or does the world rotate under Weston's body?!? HMmmmm

I do not think Barcia is going to amount to much on a 450. That's based less on these past two races and this last off-season and more on the last two years of mediocrity. He came out strong in '13 SX and won two races but since then it hasn't been terrible, but not even close to legitimate title contention.

I see him both over-riding the 450 and also simply not being as good as his competition. He reminds me of a faster version of Alessi...typically gates well, aggressive and strong early, but just plain out-ridden by the time the checkered flag flies. His two 250 SX championships were good, but those are regional series against 1/2 the competition. If he has what it takes to be a national champ or 450 SX champ, I haven't seen it.

You might have missed the part in the OP about bigger guys doing better on the bike. #comprehensionskills

I honestly don't like Barcia. Never did. Not even his nickname. I call it Karma. Eli winning on the bike that Barcia complained all about. Well, start getting use to fight around 10th position, Justin!

Peick doing better than Barcia like he is, would have been like Weimer doing better than RV in years past,it's just crazy. I really hope Barcia can pull it together before years end, to save face..

In bam bams defense, he did get banged up pretty good a couple months ago and still has to be getting used to that yammerhammer after all those years on red....

However.. if WP finishes better than him at the end of the season he will have some serious explaining to do....

Barcia's bike too fast? I thought it doesn't matter in the 450f class what kind of bike you have. Even the privateers are suppose to have bikes as fast as the factory pros. It could just be that the start will play a huge role in this season's series more than it already played in past series. Other than Tomac and Canard no one has shown that ability to cut thru the pack. Even Roczen couldn't qualify in his heat.
