I understand what he's doing with the white gear and I think its pretty smart getting different sponsors per round but it seemed executed poorly at A1
Wouldn't wearing your chest protector under your jersey be a better idea so that you would have more area for sponsors.
Looking at the photo blast from A1 you could barely make out what was on his chest protector.

They have the production version of the chest protector coming with in-laid graphics and they'll look just like graphics on a Jersey.

They had decals for A1 that weren't as visible.

I don't think I'm being overly critical on him. They came up with this awesome idea, I just thought it was weird that he would have his chest protector over his jersey.

i just think that graphics for 1 protector r cheaper than 3 new jerseys every week as the protecter can be washed off in between practice and races

On a side note, does anyone else still prefer the look of the chest protector over the jersey? I think it looks rad.

i think that pourcel looked awesome like that but i don't think everyone looks that good with the protector over its jersey

Good input here. We are sailing uncharted waters with our program and appreciate all your input. FYI the jersey's are printed the same as the chest protector. RXR is the manufacturer of the chest protector which came on board late Dec as a personal sponsor of Michael's. The graphic application in the chest protector will get better for sure. While we've had a lot of inquiries regarding the pant thigh, helmet wrap and sleeves we have yet to sell the spaces. Does Michael have to wear the chest protector over the jersey because of RXR sponsorship? That would be a shame if he did. I don't have a problem with the look of the CP over the jersey but in his case it seems like it defeats the purpose of getting the all white gear. Your going to have way more area for sponsors with the chest protector under. For example look at the Bolts logo printed on the Jersey, you can only make out half of it and I only know what it is because I use the product, you can see another logo clearly covered up by the chest protector. I would think that those two sponsors wouldn't be super pumped with how it turned out. Like I said I think the white gear is a really good idea but I hope the RXR deal hasn't ruined your flexibility to run sponsors how you and future sponsors chose. Im not trying to come down on you guys and I hope you take this as constructive criticism. I really do want to see Michael do well.

Isn't Mike Alessi doing the same thing this year? Plain white gear with only Smartop logos? Hard to imagine guys that regularly put it in the mains are unable to get a good gear deal.

Yes Michael's contract with RXR is that he wears the CP over the jersey. For sure we need to move the Bolt logo a little.We're learning! IMHO the best branding spots are the full helmet wrap, the pant thighs and the jersey sleeves. We have some good interest in these spots so hopefully we'll see soon how effective they'll be.

You can get on the visor, jersey shoulder and or butt patch for a very reasonable cost. The larger spots cost more. Please contact if you are interested in more detail. don@rocketexhaust.com

Isn't Mike Alessi doing the same thing this year? Plain white gear with only Smartop logos? Hard to imagine guys that regularly put it in the mains are unable to get a good gear deal.
I believe I read that Mike is running JT Racing Hyperlite pants with SmartTop logos. I think MotoConcepts has a team gear deal with JT Racing. Friese posted a pic on Instagram of him wearing JT Racing gear.
