Did Lusk even have a prime ? He was fast but it was out of control fast and he would crash at least once almost every race, yes he beat MC a few times but not even in the same league.
From 1998 to 99 Lusk won 9 races compared to MC's 17 and if it wasn't for injuries he could have gone farther. If you watched races then you would know better than to claim Lusk was not in his league...

Lusk was fast but crashed way to much. woulda, coulda, shoulda but didnt. You have to keep it on two wheels. people say the same thing about Laracco, if he would just get a good start he would beat McGrath, and when he did get a start MC would fly right past him and it was the same as it ever was.

For me, the thing that's often overlooked is how many times he came so damn close to winning the SX title, in addition to the titles he does have.

2011 - 4 points short of RV
2009 - 4 points short of JS
2006 - 2 points short of RC (tied with JS at 336 to RC's 338)
2003 - 7 points short of RC

The dude is a 2 time champion and was a total of 18 points short of winning 4 more. It wasn't like he got steamrolled in the seasons he's lost. He's been right there and taken it all the way to Vegas.

And don't forget he has more podiums then any other rider including McGrath. Everyone looks at the number of wins. Should really be the number of points and the above post illustrates that. He has had to battle the best there is no doubt.

YES.......... RC JS RV. No brainer. but with that said, it should go.... RC4, JS7 RV2, CR22.....! And should be asking that about dungey in a couple years..

. YOU DON'T COMPARE CHAD TO THOSE THREE, YOU INCLUDE HIM...!!!!!!! You could ask the same of James because he has to race against Chad.... Savy.

Another interesting one would be the same question about RC
seeing as he raced RV (once), JS, CR, and MC

Chad's a beast, but in my opinion. Windham faced the toughest over time.

But Chad was battling for wins among the other 3 far more often than Windham.

Yeah, I'm going to argue that Jeff Ward has faced tougher SX competition in their prime and beat them all. Glover, Bell, Sun, Barnett, Hansen, Bailey...
Yeah, I'm going to argue that Jeff Ward has faced tougher SX competition in their prime and beat them all. Glover, Bell, Sun, Barnett, Hansen, Bailey, Hannah, O'Mara, Stanton, Bayle, Bradshaw. The argument for Reed is solid, but only time will tell if half of THAT list become the legends that I've included on mine.
I have to agree with this one.

The time factor, Chad has been solid. Competition wise, Wardy has it covered
