I was pretty speechless when I read that. Fingers crossed they get it back (they should do with the information they've provided to the public), the team is full of good people.

Worthless POS

What's he think he's going to do with it. Part it out?

In 87 I was in Anderson SC for the national, one of the few times I got a motel room. Was backing the boxvan up against the building
so my stuff wouldn't get stolen when these 2 Japanese guys pull in .

They are in a rental hatchback with showa shirts on,spoke no English but they liked looking at my girlfriend splayed out .

After getting parked I stroll by the car and laid out in the hatch on a blanket are 2 sets of forks and 2 shocks, the trickest shit on the planet at that time.

Oh,the temptation ,but hiding that on a husky would been pretty hard.

Yep,

In late 86 my friend opened a husky shop. He ask me to ride them and told of cagiva buying out husky. I was 24 and knew there was no way to get on a big 4 team . So I played my cards ,got a 87 430,and we demo a 86 250 which is what is pictured.

The 87 had usd forks, white power, and ohlins out back.

Had a magic year on the 430 in open B,long list of shit I won. Muddy creek had been bought by Sam and went AMA so I dropped to B class to hit LL in hopes of free bikes from cagiva.

It all worked,next year,88, got 2 250s,a 87 125,a leftover to play on,and another 430.

Had a kal guard deal that they sent me cases of everything, still have cases of it,lol.

Dunlop,gear racewear,and scott.

The bikes took lots of work to get right but I was stoked and like I said,it was the only way I was getting free bikes.

I don't get the reason to steal a bike from another team. Is he in the Honda Vico Team?

I have no idea where Waldo is, but I'm pretty sure that's Pee Wee Herman's bike right down in the front.

I know of an entire Arenacross team's rig being "stolen" and held for ransom by a mechanic/truck driver over a paycheck and expenses dispute about 13 years ago

Yes,87.

We used a demo 86 250 for a few months then a 87, had to do my area at gatorback ,the regional was muddy creek.

Scott summers showed up at it on that 600,lol, I won the regional then 8th at LLs, was a alternate in 250 but that let me practice more on monday.

Husky/cagiva had 2 boxvans at LLs on vendor row and i was their guy,had a sparë 430 there already numbered.

Added some pressure but damn it was cool.
