It's the riders, not the 'bling' that makes the racing. At every level.
And, in another of your posts you seem to bring in 250 2ts as the reason why 125 2ts are not being used to race against 250 4ts. No , it's because a modern 250 4T, is far easier to be competitive on. They, 250fs, are competitive with 250 2ts - both types of engine, given the same capacity, have advantages, and disadvantages with respect to each other.
Helping engine builders by removing 250 2ts, so they can make money from 125s? An 'engine builder' that needs that sort of rule to help their business, does not deserve to stay in business. Next thing you'll want, is a class for MPS framed AFs.......
Simply, all levels of racing should have a 125 class. Not a class that makes them race against bigger capacities. The EMX125 series that the FIM initiated, is hugely popular, and very successful. AMA Pro (and all National series, if they've deleted it) really needs to (re)introduce a 125 class to their Nationals . Nobody should give a stuff about the manufacturers that choose not to make 125s. And the FIM / Youthstream, should re-introduce 125s as a full World Championship class.
Capacity equivalency racing - anything less, is an open admission of the inferiority of the ICE unit used for motive power, that requires capacity handicap rules to be competitive. I always find it hilarious, that those who seem to regard 4ts, as the ultimate engine, always hide behind having double, or 1,75 times the capacity over the 'inferior' 2ts.
I want both ICE types under equal capacity rules, out there on the track, together. It makes for Great racing.
The MXD class here in OZ - the Development class - is one of the better ideas MA has had in many a year. That riders / parents / sponsors can use an up to 250cc 2t, or 4t , if they want, is a great thing. You think it should be dumped? You think the MXD class existing in the way it is, stops OZ MX racing from having Semis in the pits? No, the real costs of racing in our sparsely populated, Big country, and it's marketability (not just in relation to MX bike sales) are what dictates spending on racing, by teams.
I have to laugh at that article/release, the bit about modifying the KTM and making it slower is comical.
Either way, you have the ability to run a stock 2-stroke (which is already much cheaper to rebuild) or run a highly modified 250f that is on the verge of grenading every 30 minutes. Wow, there are definitely scientists working on the rule books aren't there!
6 or so years ago I could not work out how the big teams were getting anything on their investment at MX nationals. No Spectators! It had to catch up with them sooner or later. Crazy when you watch a race on YouTube from the 80s or 90s just how many more spectators came out to watch. The promoters have lots of excuses but it just comes down to promoting it correctly because obviously the sport itself is one of the most entertaining and exciting that ever existed.
It looks like they bought themselves some time allowing a cheaper alternative to race, filling the empty spots on the grid but as I said years ago the second they win or show any signs of dominating the shit will hit the fan and it has lol. 2 strokes beating the manufacturers that only sell and race 4 strokes is not the reason for lack of factory teams but its a good excuse they can now use to their advantage hence the rule change.

Pit Row
You see the same riders at Krusics ride park (I've no idea what / where that is) ??????
Yes, I really do believe you have a full national level field at a local track. Please read that as sarcasm. Hell, you can have quite a few top riders at local tracks / clubs. In the 80s /90s my own club had Dack and Bell and other National level riders, as members, and a few other National level riders from other clubs / areas would be at many of our club events. But never a field that matched the National Titles, or, a long time ago, Mr Motocross. If you want to see what level OZ MX did get to, in terms of National exposure - free to air TV coverage - you'd have to go back to (both) Mr Motocross eras. Eras when there were no semis / big rigs, but, at times, a few full on Works bikes. TV coverage of todays OZ Nationals series / SX races, is below what Mr MX had. Of course, there was no cable or internet then - I've really quite liked the OZ Nationals Webcasts.
Oh, I'm not a fan of MPS conversions. There's a few threads on this site, and quite a few others, that don't show George and his workmanship in a good light. Good luck to you on your MPS (it's you that's selling them, isn't it?) business venture, nonetheless. Having done AFs since '97, I try to encourage blokes to do their own 'AF' conversions - it's pretty basic fabrication, and for the blokes that are limited to using a hacksaw and files, well there are a few conversion kits they can buy and 'build by the numbers' - Australian ones, too - and it's not hard to find a good TIG welder. In most cases, it only represents about 20 /30 inches of weld. being needed, very much depending on the type of 'Y' being used. It's the ancillaries that represent the 'tricky' part for the average bloke, especially if they are correctly locating the clocking / height of the countershaft in relation to the swingarm pivot. A few to many people (companies as well) concentrate on making the ancillaries - pipe mounts / airbox / air boot interface - easy to do, and they end up with a high CS position, f**king up the handling / suspension. Though, you can't tell them that, it's always 'perfect' ........
Yes, one of the things you have right, is the crowd description for Mr Motocross. Same could be said for major SX races (no I don't mean our relatively tiny SXs - I refer to US ones) Those big stadiums, draw in many non motorcyclists - it's a major entertainment event, that has never translated into significant extra sport.participation. Well, races really don't produce much in the way of MX sales increases, so I'm not offering any extra criticism towards SX. It is, what it is .
Yes, your MPS will be a wonderous thing to you - you bought it. Pride Of Ownership, is a well recognised thing.. But , just do a search on MPS here, or check either bannedcr500riders.com, or CR500riders.com .The 'unhappy' MPS customers, far outweigh the happy ones. I'm glad you appear to have got a good one, quite a few, haven't.
The post you quoted, was a reply to YOUR POST that was based on the mx2 class and how poor 125s and motor builders and other stupid fucking pointless shit about the PRO MX2 class and 250 two strokes having double displacement, the next person you posted the video to didn't mention the class by name but it is clear he is talking about pro level, you know, what this entire fucking thread is about??
Someone can not have as few brain cells as you do and still function normal, surely?
you took the words out of my mouth
and the rest of his posts point out its the latter
Here's one. From a very long time ago. About the same time as you were last at a National?
